Balls to the Walls fun. True performance vehicle.

Cup Holder. Too many recalls. Poor Quality Assurance.

I leased/purchased the vehicle fully loaded coupe 3/99. I have had 5 separate recalls completed on the vehicle. At 41k miles the engine blew. Other than Ford dealer mechanics, I have been the only one to drive the car. I have never redlined the vehicle I have a 3 yr 36k warrantee. This is my first American vehicle I have ever owned. Currently Ford is stating that I must repair the vehicle at my own expense. I did not purchase the extended warrantee. Buyer beware!!!!!!!! I am currently shopping for a classic corvette (Much better value).

I LOVE THIS CAR. It is my baby. I have made alot of cosmetic modifications to this vehicle. it is royal blue with a custom white stripe patern on the hood, and sides. 98 stang alloy rims. I put blue neon lights under the dash and all around the undercarriage. I recently installed AVS blackouts and a custom 2 piece bra. I installed aftermarket foglights and Flowmaster CAT-back Dual exhaust. Tinted windows and kenwood cd deck. 2 ACI 12" subs and DEI 600D amp. This sucker SCREAMS for attention & I assure you it gets more than enough. My next car will be a SALEEN!!!!!!!!!

Nothing absoulotly nothing other than attracing little teenagers.

Everything on the car is a sign of weaknesses. I feel shame when I am driving it. My dad bought it for me as a gift and he had one when he was in college but that was the biggest mistake he have done. this car is worthless. It is better to not have a car at all than to have this kind of car.

Please don't buy a Mustang make world clean :)

Beautiful car to drive to the beach on a hot summer day. I love the looks that I get when I drive. The Cobra is a fun car to drive and has a great sounding engine. If you want a fast sleek car, the Mustang Cobra is the car for you!

FUN CENTRAL!!! Mine was midnight blue.....great color. Took off the catalytic converters and substited with a hollow H-pipe, replaced the stock mufflers with flowmasters, and replaced the underdrive pulleys with higher performance ones. All of this cost less than $500! And oh what a sweet sounding exhaust you get! Sweet as in MEAN! This car rocks! I love the look of the '93LX compared to all the bolt-ons on the GT body.
I had to sell mine b/c of NUMEROUS tickets that caused my insurance to go over $350/month :( but for 2 years I had a blast! If you can control yourself and change the oil every 3K, this car is a blast to have.

Gas mileage really sucks.
4th and 5th gear to ratio'd too far apart. 5th is virtually useless unless you're going at least 85mph and even then it still doesn't do much but lug. 4th gear is another story :)

First of all, whatever you do......DON'T EVEN THINK of buying a used or new Mustang UNLESS IT'S A V-8! The 4's are a joke and so are the 6's compared to the V-8. It's like going to a strip joint and wearing a blindfold...haha. If you don't want a V-8, get another car.....buying a Mustang in a 4 or 6 is a waste of money. The 92-93 LX 5.0's are great with great power. If you can find one used and not too abused, go for it. But be prepared......gas will cost you.

This car is very fast and very dependable. It really gets me a lot of attention. You should see how embaressed the boys in those Camaros are when I leave them in the dust! The car is also easy to work on and find parts for.

Lousy gas mileage(12 MPG..ouch) Just had engine rebuilt and it still leaks oil. Also, watch those corners. I've found myself on the side of road in the middle of summer after taking a corner too fast. Passengers moan the back seat is too small but I don't really care because I don't sit there!

I love my Mustang and I would keep it forever. It is dependable and when stuff does break, parts are cheap. I bought it as a bank repo and I don't know what happened to it before I got it but I know it was abused but it just keeps on chugging.

performance, looks, fuel mileage is ok, cheap, easy to upgrade and is a lot of fun to drive! This car has been lowered and that it now looks like a more serious competitor!

no room in the back seat, cops pay too much attention to it. poor stereo factory stereo. I think that Ford needs to improve on the quality of there interiors. A plastic interior is ok but do a better job in insuring that it has some quality.

I have done some work on this car and i think that it increases it's value to me ten fold. I lowered the suspension, installed cat-back exhaust, put a performance chip in, tinted the windows, and installed a high flow K&N fliter. Performance increased substantially (with is much needed on a 94 since the stock engine performance was quite poor for a car that looks this good). The car is orange and gets a lot of attention. The exhaust sounds really throaty and aggressive!! The car has 17 wheels and they look great! The stereo sucked hard core when I bought it so I threw a Pioneer Type R 12 1000W sub in the trunk (hooked up to a Sanyo 200W bridged amp) as well as two 6 1/4" three way speakers in the back. In the front I added two Motorola tweeters that add great definition to music! So now the sound in my car is.... lets just say acceptable. The way that this car handles is just awesome. There is hardly any body roll and that i really like. So far for the only real problem i have had with this car is having the coolant temp light go on infrequently. It also seems to use a little oil.. I don't like that much!! Overall this car as i have changed it is a dream to drive.

I WAS TRADING IN MY 99 V-6 MUSTANG, AND JUST BEFORE SIGNING THE PAPER WORK FOR THIS 2001 MY SALES PERSON SAID DID YOU CHECK OUT WHAT YOUR INSURANCE RATE WOULD BE FOR THIS GT , I SAID NO. ABOUT THE CAR ITSELF WELL IT IS BAD TO THE BONE. I GOT THE YELLOW, WITH ALL THE EXTRAS. THE CAR IS VERY FAST, BUT NOT AS FAST AS THE 5.6. BUT AS WE ALL KNOW THAT NOTHING A COUPLE BUCKS CAN'T FIX. IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
WHEN IT COMES TO GAS , IT'S A PIG. I FEEL BAD FOR PEOPLE WHO DRIVE THIS CAR EVER DAY, THEY MUST BE DROPPING AT LEAST 50.-60. BUCKS A WEEK IN GAS. BUT IT'S WORTH IT!
SOUND, WELL THERE IS PLENTY OF THAT INSIDE AND OUT. THE DUEL EXHAUST SOUNDS JUST RIGHT, AND THE MACH 460 STEREO IS NICE, NO NEED TO UP-GRADE THIS.
LOOKS, WELL THIS CAR HAS PLENTY OF IT. IF YOU DON'T LIKE TO BE STARED AT, DON'T GET THE YELLOW PAINT JOB. I ALSO NOTICED THAT COPS KEEP THIER EYES ON YOU BIG TIME, BUT ALSO THE GIRLS DO TO WHICH IS NICE. THE NEW STOCK RIMS ARE SWEET ALSO. AND I MOST SAY I LIKE THE LARGER RIMS TO. THE CAR ITSELF GETS DIRTY VERY QUICKLY, ESPECIALLY AROUND THE REAR. MOLDED MUD FLAPS FROM THE DEALER IS A MUST. WHEN GETTING YOUR MUSTANG MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT THE PAINT JOB VERY CLOSELY. I NOTICED LOOKING AT THE NEW MUSTANGS, YOU WILL ALWAY FIND BLOTCHS ESPECIALLY ON THE ROOF & THE FRONT END.THEY ARE VERY HARD TO FIND SO LOOK CLOSELY. OTHER THAN THAT THE CAR IS BEAUTIFUL.
POWER, WELL IT HAS PLENTY OF THIS TO. DON'T GET ME WRONG IT WILL NEED A LITTLE HELP. I'LL BE STARTING WITH THE THROTTLE BODY & INJECTERS. BUT FOR REAL THE ENGINE REALLY DON'T NEED ANY HELP. I WON'T GO ANY FUTHER WITH THESE SUBJECT MAINLY BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINION AND TASTE. BUT IF YOU THINK YOUR GETTING DRAGSTER, YOUR NOT. ALL I CAN TELL YOU THAT THIS CAR HAS ALOT MORE POWER THEN IT PUTS OUT.
HANDLING, NOT THE BEST. ESPECAILLY AROUND BENDS AND CLOVER LEAVES. MYSELF THE REAR WILL BE GETTING SOME WORK TO IT.

INTERIOR, AGAIN FOR THE PRICE YOU CAN'T COMPLAIN. THE LEATHER IS NICE BUT THE SEATS ARE THE ONLY THINGS THAT ARE LEATHER, EVERYTHING ELSE IS PLASIC.
I DON'T MIND MYSELF, I LOVE IT. WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE CAR THE SEAT BELT BUZZER PISSED ME OFF, BUT LOOK IN THE MANUAL AND TURN IT OFF. ABOUT THE BACK SEAT, WELL WHAT CAN I TELL YOU , THERE VERY SMALL. WHICH AGAIN I DON'T MIND BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO ONE SEATING BACK THERE ANYWAY. ALSO IF YOU SMOKE, IT WILL COST YOU EXTRA LIKE $45.00 FOR THE LIGHTER AND $15.00 FOR THE ASH TRAY. I DO LIKE THE TWO PHONE JACKS THE CAR CAME WITH. ONE IS IN THE CENTER CONSOLE AND OTHER UNDER THE STEREO. THE GLOVE DEPARTMENT IS VERY SMALL. THE STEREO IS GREAT, 6 SPEAKERS WHICH KICKS BUTT. THE DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESS WILL SUIT YOUR TASTE, JAZZ, HALL, CHURCH, STADIUM. NO NEED TO DO ANY UP-GRADES HERE. LOUD, LOUD, LOUD!!!

I BOUGHT THIS 99 MUSTANG NOVEMBER 2000, AND RETURNED IT TO THE DEALER 2 MONTHS LATER. DON'T GET ME WRONG FORD PUTS OUT SOME NICE CARS BUT THE 99 MUSTANG WAS NOTHING LIKE I EXPECTED. ABOUT THE HANDLING, WELL IT'S ALSO SAD. WHEN GOING AROUND BENDS, CLOVER LEAVES THE CAR HOP'S, BIG TIME. IF YOU THINK PUTTING SOME WEIGHT IN THE TRUNK WILL HELP, NOT!! IT ONLY MAKES IT WORSE, EVERY LITTLE BUMP IN THE WILL FEEL LIKE A HUGH POT HOLE.
I HAD THE ZINC YELLOW PAINT JOB, AND THAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE WHOLE CAR, THEY ARE VERY RARE AND FOR SOME REASON THEY DO LOOK ALOT NICER THEN THE AVERAGE STANG. BUT THEN AGAIN WHEN THE COPS SEE YOU , BELIEVE ME THEY WILL BE KEEPING THEIR EYE ON YOU, WAITTING FOR YOU TO MAKE THE WRONG MOVE.
I THOUGHT THE INTERIOR WAS NICE,AND THE STOCK STEREO ALRIGHT, BUT NOTHING SPECIAL.
IF YOUR PLANNING ON BUYING A BRA FOR THE CAR YOU BEATER REMOVE IT ALEAST EVERY TWO WASH'S OR YOU CAR KISS YOU PAINT JOB GOOD BUY. IF YOU DON'T REMOVE IT AND CLEAN UNDER IT THE CLEAR COAT WILL GET RUINED.

small back seats, lack of interior lights, guys like to race a chick in a mustang.

I love this car, but I need something with a little more engine power. So I just traded it in for a 2001 GT :-) I never had any problems with the car. The roof only leaked once when I went through the drive through car wash at a mobil station.
