Strength:
It is cheap, easy to upgrade, good on gas, killer looks.
Weakness:
It really sucks when someone in a 88 Cavalier can beat you off the line and then you think isn't this a Mustang. Anyway good thing it is easy to upgrade, because it definetly needs it. I can't really complain about the quality of the car, but I can say that the horsepower and the performance could be a lot better. I guess what you pay for is what you get. I should have bought a GT or a Cobra. Whatever, anyway it is also fun to upgrade a car so I am looking forward to do so. Can't wait till I get it the way I want it. Overall not a bad car, but don't expect to be blown away by the horsepower, because the car lacks the good thrust back in your seat explosion that you would expect! mustang L.X 5.0
Strength:
Good low end torqe. many modifications for this year no huge problems but it also was well taken care of over the years. Great exaust sound with modified exaust or not. The engine is a true work horse, when I purchased my 5.0 it had just under 140,000 miles on it but it literally runs like a brand new car. (MAKE SURE YOU BUY IT FROM AN OWNER THAT HAS TAKEN WELL GOOD CARE OF THE CAR)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Weakness:
poor gas milage whinning noise from engine but that can be eliminated by upgrading to aftermarket pullys. 15" tires was not a good option by ford, but you can always upgrade to a bigger sized rim, I would recommend 17" inch corbra R's. The suspension is okay but it could be better. In the L.X model the interior is well built it looks very nice overall I have been very pleased with my 5.0, with the proper care the car should be okay in the long run I have a few mod's of my own on my 5.0 it has motorsport headers, performance pullys, MSD, cold air induction, GT-40 heads, off-road H-pipe, 2 chamber flows, power chip. All in all I think that mustags are great. Similar Products Used: 89-91 camaros z-28's |

Strength:
Looks sweet, lots of torque,
Weakness:
Handling, rear seat room, interior is boring, wheel and tire too small I love my Mustang, It gets decent gas mileage if i baby it, but if i decide to race or hurry to get somewhere, it really sucks up gas. The exhaust sounds decent and handling is decent on dry surfaces but in the snow and rain it is a nightmare. I spend atleast 1-2hrs a day driving and enjoy it very much. I have raced quite a few cars and won, for example the 2000 BMW 323 and 328 plus the 2000 Honda Prelude and quite a few others. I didnt know what the whole fascination or the big deal was with Mustangs until i owned one now that i own one i understand and feel apart of history. My overall experience so far has been great, i get decent gas mileage, adequate power and alright handling on dry days. Majority of the time it is only me and one other passenger so i dont get many complaints about the rear. This vehicle is for the person who wants a bit of performance but nothing hardcore. If you arent ready to put your foot into it dont bother because this car is built to go. LX 5.0 Sedan
Strength:
the car has great power and can be easily modified for the right price. It's got great looks if done right, and can take out alot of cars that are on the road.
Weakness:
the car has had no real problems other than the fact that just about everybody who loves the car thinks that they can beat it even if they have a 6 banger. it gets really old when you get somebody who tells you how the car can't stand up to theirs and they can't admit defeat when it happens. all in all the car is great. it's my dream car that i bought when i was sixteen and I'm now 17. chix love it and peaople respect. the car is an ex cop car and has 4.10 gears on an aod the car is so incredibly top end you really don't know how fast it will go. I have taken to 120 before and the needle kept climbing. Similar Products Used: none really other than my parents acura |

* Cup Holder Owning a Mustang for me was a childhood dream come true. Driving that car off the lot with the windows down and the wind blowing through the car with the music blaring was a cool experience I feel everybody should have at least once in a lifetime. Despite the nostalgic walk down memory lane there are several flaws in the construction and design of this vehicle. One thing that drives me nuts is this chirping sound coming from the dashboard that Ford cannot seem to locate and fix. Secondly, the carpet came up after the first week of me owning the vehicle (which they‘re in the process of fixing). Finally, whoever designed that cup holder should have to answer to me personally. If you have a drink or your passenger has a drink in the cup holder and you are turning a corner, well you may as well pull over and get a new drink; then pull into the carwash to clean your floorboards because your drinks are gone. Lets not even talk about using the first cup hole if you plan on getting out of first gear. On a more positive note overall this car is very dependable, provided you keep up the routine service work, and give it a bath now and then with a deep waxing and a few squirts of black out on the tires for good measure. For the price you are getting a heck of a deal. In its class, Mustang is the car for me. Besides that, who wants to own a Camero? I would buy this car again, but there is one thing I would do differently. Buy the V8. Similar Products Used: Owned a 1984 Ford Mustang that needed too much work. Strength:
good handling, decent acceleration for a 4 banger, paint still looks good after 8 years, good stock sound, sun roof doesnt leak, not many repairs needed, gets good gas mileage
Weakness:
a little slow because it is a 4 banger, could use more trung space but that not what i bought a mustang for, (im not dumb) i like to drive it, its my first car and it will probably last me a while still even with 120000 miles on it now Similar Products Used: 2000 mustang GT conv, 90 ford thunderbird |

Mustang V6
Strength:
Exhaust Roar, ability to break loose rear end (RWD), and it looks freakin gorgeous! Also the convertible has a glass top which is nice.
Weakness:
Everything on the inside. Every turn I make the plastic creaks, EVERYTHING is hard plastic and it hurts to rest your arms on. The shifter is too far away to rest your arm on the center console and your hand on the shifter (which is very annoying, I know most auto drives like to rest their hands there). I traded in my accord for a more exciting car, but ended up not reasonably able to make the trade. The mustang interior looks fine in the dark, but once it's in the light it just doesn't compare. Exterior looks are uncomparable, the mustang convertible is much more fun and looks better from the outside, but once inside (where a driver spends most of their time), you want more out of the car, it just seems that ford never really cared about the interior. the door handle is in an akward place, the shifter is too far away to rest your hand on, the stereo is just placed bad all over. Nice exaust sound, Convertible
Weakness:
Small for me, I'm 6'5, not comfortable for tall people, Convertible top leaks, and after the engine died the second time I had to go to a Chevy, Best decision I ever made. The Ford Mustang gives the impression of a good car, once you drive it for a while and it dumps you a couple times you start to see what it really is..CRAP!! Similar Products Used: The Mustang was my first car, it was traded in for a 1999 Monte Carlo Z34. The Mustang totally sucks in comparison. |
