Model Reviewed: Twin Turbo

Strength:

Looks, handling, very fast, solid build quality.

Weakness:

expensive parts, complicated to work on, stock brakes need help if you increase the horse power.

Car is equiped with stillen stage III, lowered slightly, pop valves, cross drilled rotors, etc. Car had around 400 HP.

On a nice sunny day with the t-tops off you will feel on top of the world driving this car. It's at home just cruising around slow looking for its next victum or all out blasting away most cars.

The car is amazingly docile for its level of performance. At the cornering limit it is so prodictable it is almost boring. (unlike a previous 911 I owned) The turbos come on strong with out being peaky. It basically feels like there is a very smooth V8 under the hood. When the car does break loose it comes back quickly. It is quite user friendly. I have auto crossed several cars and some of them were unnerving at the limit. Fuel economy is good considering the HP, averaging in the mid to high teens around town. Haven't checked out the freeway mileage yet.

My wife and I just love the car. If your single they make great date cars!!!

One of the best cars I have driven and owned!!!

Strength:

Nice clutch system, responsive turbos, classy looks, very strong chassis and under carriage, good handling at high speeds, tight turn ratio, good support from Z enthusiast groups and associations out there.

Weakness:

Moderate handling at low speeds, rear tires breaks loose on the asphalt just like most other front engine-rear wheel drive cars except for the BMW M cars, repair cost although not frequent but costly when it happens.

Good sporty car that combines the strengths of the other japanese sport automobiles. Almost the brutal speed and power of a Supra Turbo, almost the nimbleness of an RX-7, Almost the comfort of a 3000gt vr4, and almost the good looks of an NSX, but definitely a good buy!

Similar Products Used:

Very similiar to the other japanese sports cars in its class but definitely recommended over Camaro's, Mustang's and other firebird's since you pay almost the same for an older z ($9000 to $15000)

Weakness:

replacment parts are expensive but well worth it.
there really are no weaknesses

The best damn car you wil ever buy. nothing else comes close. The car has the looks of a godess, the speed of a bullet, and you get all the girls with this car. if your thinking of buying a supra then you have your head on wrong. Supras suck. The z is the only way to go.

Strength:

Very sexy car, nice to look at.

Weakness:

Vinyl seats tear way too easy. Rebuilding it has become very expensive.

I've had my "Z" for a few months now and when I got it the tranni was shot to crap and basically so was the engine I could have replaced the tranni and drove it but I wanted to rebuild the engine and get everything nice clean and running perfectly so I'm in the process of rebuilding the engine now. I keep running into problems though. ANY HELP OR ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!! I've wanted a 300zx for years and I've finally gotten one its been a dream come true and I cant wait for the first time when I can start the engine and hear it running way better than what it used to when I first got it. The first drive is going to be a whole different experience -lets see if I can top out the speedometer at 145mph.

Strength:

Power, I modified the exhaust, the intake and am working on the suspension. But bone stock this car is a blast to drive. The engine makes good smooth power, would like it to rev a little higher but just fine as is. Looking at this car in a parking lot, you'd think that it was doing 100mph just standing still. I read lots of stories about this car being fast from 0-60 or 1/4 mile but its strengths are in the curves, I know why they put rap around seats on the drivers side. This is VW's answer to far4yournoggen. Have the opportunity to buy one do so.

Weakness:

Expensive to work on, but if your good with the computer and can look for your own parts....not that bad because lots of them in yards and some good aftermarket dealers out there. Rear suspension weak. Shocks.

Have driven many foreign cars and this has got to be the ticket. Wife has a 850 T-5 Turbo, we spend most of the time driving this car because its so much fun. Power, handling, looks and ride are so nice.

Strength:

GREAT handling! the best ive ever felt. the twin turbo kicks in at about 3 thousand rpms and when u hear that turbo whine u feel the wrinkles in your face start to flatten out! GREAT car AND its not TOO showy on the outside so people arent afraid to race you! YET!

Weakness:

so far the onlie thing i found kind of bothersome is the huge blind spot. and how much your hair gets messed up whenu drive the freeway wiht the top off :) hehehe

I've driven this car for ONE day! and im already pleased with the preformance. i bought the car with dual blitz blow-off valves, dual 6 inch exhaust and 2 brand new kdm air intakes. wiht all these littel goddies the car is a GREAT attention getter. ive driven it one day and already ive heard people asking eachother what kind of car it is. also, im new to manual transmission. wiht in 2 hours of driving this car off the lot i was forced to show a suped up honda who its daddy is. i smoked him off the line wiht more than 4 or 5 seconds of tire screeching! hahaha it was great. when he pulled up to the next light all he did was give me a thumbs up and a big ol smile :)

Strength:

Very clean running. Only 15 Hydrocarbons (HC's) and 0.00 CO on emission control test. Very powerful, comfortable.

Weakness:

Exspensive parts. Fuel pressure regulator $160.

Very impressed with stock power for non-turbo. Have raced 6-cylinder Mustangs and Accords and others and won to my suprise. I have now equiped withe custom exhaust and intake and can find many upgrades for very easily. Bought car for 1500 and it running really rich and smoking real bad and neaded a fuel pressure regulator. Then it started stalling on me at random times so I replaced whole distributor system and it hasn't happened since.

I love to drive this car it's tight and fun. The only problem is the repair bills. They are a pain to find parts for and when you do they are usually very expensive. Wish I could drive it all day long.
