Strength:

Speed, looks, comfort, geat handling.

Weakness:

Parts are expensive, gas milage is not the greatest. But there is lots of rust on the back end.

I love this car! But it seems as with most older cars, when one thing goes, everything else follows. First the clutch, then water pump, power windows, timing belt. Expensive to fix but worth every penny when the t-tops come off! And the power is awesome. I''m impressed with the overall condition for an ''84.

Model Reviewed: 300ZX TT

Strength:

1.Ultra-fast, we are talking about 0-60 in under 5 seconds, 0-100 in under 10. 2. It''s looks. There is something about it, that even being 10+ years old, still turns heads. 3. Room. If you are looking for a 2 seater, this is a perfect car. Spacious trunk, and room for two tall (I am 6''3) adults to be comfortable for hours. 4.Handling. The car handles like it''s on rails. It takes a while to get use to the HICAS, as it seems that the rear end is going to slide out on you, but once you get the hang of it, WOW!

Weakness:

1. Blind spots/rear view. In heavy traffic, stay in your lane! 2. Scary braking. It''s a heavy car, and the brakes just don''t seem to get the job done quickly. I recommend the Skyline upgrade, or at the least slotted and drilled rotors. 3. Every rice-burner that meets you at a red light is going to want to race. As do many Corvettes. 4. Heat buildup. For some reason the inside gets awful warm, heat bleeds in from the engine and the tranny.

As most of us Z owners say, wow! I fell in love with this car in the early 90''s, and just now got a job where I could afford it and the insurance. This car is really a must have for any fan of sports cars. Not only does it have one of the most ''sexy'' (as most women have said to me) looks out on the road, but it is pure muscle underneath. I have upgraded the engine to the stageIII (Intake, Exhaust, ECU) and am pushing arond 400 h.p. There is literally nothing short of a Viper that is stock out there that can beat it, and it out-runs pretty much all other modified cars I have seen. I say almost, as the Toyota Supra TT will give it a run for it''s money. The handling on the TT is superb due to the 4 wheel steering that Nissan added to it called Super-HICAS. Depending on your speed, it will either turn the back wheels the opposite direction you are turning, or the same direction, with outstanding results. 25 m.p.h. curves at 60+ feel like silk.

300 horsepower just with exhaust, a computer chip, and intake. COmes with a good stereo system, t-tops that rock, chrome wheels, and just about everything not mentioned in the weakness section is a strength. This car rocks.

Weakness:

huge blind spots, only 16mpg(but for 307hp that isnt to shabby),sits low so the car hits the ground sometimes(i guess thats a strength too cuz it betters handling)

This car is the best ever!!

Non stop gawks from both male and female. "nice ride" heard often getting out of the car. Power on tap and easy upgrade path. 400hp for about $1000 (chip intake exhaust) OH YEAH!! Rare Not your everyday Honda racer! Unique styling

Weakness:

Hard to find a camber kit! 3600lbs is a heavy car! NO room in engine bay Parts, Labor expensive Premium gas isnt getting cheaper!

bought and still in the 60000mi range, have added strutbarS, K&N kit, graphite sinister rims to match the cars charcoal gray hue. Ferrari style wing and bass in the trunk fortunatly came with the car. My first RWD sports car, first with this much POWER. YIKES!! drag style launching causes instant drifting of the @$$ end. Those who want this car and get it will be spending money on it either upgrading or just maintaining. Two seater but dont plan on putting more than two ''airline'' carry-ons (no i dint buy it for 100grand, put that there just in case i ever sell...YEAH RIGHT!- chinkotata@hotmail.com)

Strength:

Super good brakes even in bad weather. Comfortable even for us 6'' 200 pounders. Been in many junk yards and have seen at least 100 wrecked Zs. If you have seat belt on, you have one of the BEST chances to survive a really bad wreck than in any other sports type car that I know of. Even one that I could not tell was a Z from outside (for real) had the 3/4 of drivers and passenger seat intact. It also had the leg compartment intact. Car was doing 130MPH+ when flipped head over end many times then rolled over side to side before stopping and driver lived to tell it. Passenger was not wearing belt and did not make it. DON''T BE STUPID...WEAR THE BELT!! Will take a big lick on front end (like head on) and hold its own also. Not much is ever said about having wrecks in reviews...this car should get a safty award for sure!! Parts are easy to find in junk yards and on E Bay that are a lot cheaper than Nissan dealer. My last Z did over 300K of very hard miles and new owner is still dogging it!! Style that you never get tired of...even after 15 years!!! Turbo does matter...puts car more in sports car class!!!

Weakness:

Timming belt MUST be replaced every 60K and you might as well do the water pump at same time. If not, you can and will ruin engine. Some of Nissan parts from dealer are way out of line on price. (Back hatch lifts 90.00 each not installed is out of line!!) Electric ant always going out.

This Z has every option known for the year. Rare to find one 2+2 and turbo. Found it on E Bay and only has 60k miles. This ride is as smooth as silk with no rattles or leaks. Super fast even though it is an automatic. Turbo does to injectors what 4 barrel did to carb. Very strong shifting from first to second gear and it leaps like my 73 Vette did between gears. Not as fast as the old Vette but 1000 times more comfortable to ride and drive on trips in. At 70 MPH, this baby will shag to 100 in nothing flat!! It will also pass the gas stations when the Vette could not!! Holds the road GREAT in rain and I can not say that about Vette. Turbo does use more gas than my 85 Z with out turbo did or maybe I can not keep foot out of it. I think a little of both. If money is a problem, you don''t need a sports car. Zs are not cheap to keep up but are one of the best values as far as these type cars goes. This loaded out model is a cross between Caddie and Vette. Super smooth (has adjustable suspension control) or kinda ruff...your choice!!! You arrive from a long trip in a Z like you have been on a magic carpet. Not many sports cars can say that!!! I have owned a Zs for almost 15 years and will not drive anything else. Just a great cross of sports look and luxury. Middle age crazy is fun if you have the right tools and this is one of those tools!!! My other 1/2 will tell you quick that I love my Z more than them...No comment!!! LOL! Buy one and your life will be a lot more fun!!!

Strength:

speed, style, handling. a timeless classic with a fair deal of aftermarket support (my Z is living proof of this, as it''s been significantly modded).

Weakness:

sub-par braking, heating up inside of cockpit, huge blind spot(s), cost of repairs (especially on a twin turbo). don''t even get me started on the cost of insurance. and gas mileage is an issue. but, hey, if you wanna play, you gotta pay. believe me, it''s worth every penny.

the best all around package on the road, period. i don''t know why people say the Z is a chick magnet. i find that chicks like trucks/jeeps better. most of the people that notice the Z are guys, who are like "whoa!!! sweet ride!" the Z community is strong and these people are passionate about their cars. if you own/get a Z, this''ll surely help you out. BTW, if anyone needs parts/service/advice, let me know, as i''m hooked into one of the premier 1990-1996 300ZX tuners in north america.

Strength:

I have added a Borla Exhaust System, Bra, K & N Filter, Kenwood CD/with changer, & New Nissan struts front & rear. All major services have been performed & I had a new clutch put in when the timing belt was changed just to be sure it was in good shape. The interior is 100% perfect. No tears, stains or blimishes. The paint looks new and has kept a good coat of wax on it since I have owned it. I am asking $9600 for this vehicle but will consider offers(reasonable please)

Weakness:

The car has one door ding the size of a peanut.

All 300ZX have one major flaw. Once you buy one, you can''t let it go. I am having to go through this now. I have a spoiled 1991 Pearl White 2+2. I have owned for 5 yrs and My wife says its time for a family. This car is like new, garage kept, and ready to go to a new loving home.

Weakness:

Gas hogs. Thats it just a gas guzzler. And they are a litte light in the rear but hey thats fixable.

I love my car. I have even named her. Xena.Thats her name because she is so damn powerful. I got this car when I graduated from high school. Now I am going into the Marines and I cant take her. So me and my baby have no option but to part. I will miss her dearly and I am looking for a good owner. I am selling her fairly cheap and I leave in a week so I need someone to buy her. She is in excellent condition and has upgrades such as CD player, exhaust system, HURST racing transmisssion and Yokohoma tires and rims. Any one interested better hurry!!
