paid about 50K - I would recommend this vehicle over the Lexus .. hands down .. This is my second BMW and I can't wait for every opportunity to drive it ..

it's a great driving vehicle,fell in love with when I saw the first time on the web site back in october 99. it fast,solid handling feeling,so far non of the problems others have.it has that power feeling,excellent value.

abit hard on the ride,brake dusting,low mileage on the gas,problem had to great another set of wheels/tires set for winter($$$$).

I now have it over two months, I highly recommend,for those who WANT some kick (in life),it's a "MEAN DREAM MACHINE". it's worth, life to short.... go enjoy it....

I like driving my X5 more than my old sports car. It has more power, better road visibility and even seems to corner better. I test drove nearly everything and feel in love with this one.

Navigation system could be simplier

I recommend this vehicle to all. Motor Trend, Automobile, and other magazines including Consumer Reports rate it highly too.

Had an ML 430. X5 is hands down, the best driving machine with way more power and control plus it does not look like a hybrid minivan as the ML does.

great looking car, excellent seats for trips, ride height

electrical problems, stalling, had car for 3 1/2 months and it has been at the shop or undrivable for safety concerns half of this time period

I paid 50k for the 3.0. Mine has absolutely every option and package. Would not recommend until BMW works all the bugs out ( hopefully not at my expense).

Fantastic styling. Superb build quality. Refined yet aggressive demeanor. Gets more looks than a FERRARI, almost drives like one too.

I think this is the snazziest looking SUV(SAV) in the market. Sure, it is expensive, but nothing touches it in looks, performance, and pleasure of driving. My previous car was an ACURA INTEGRA GSR a zippy little pocket rocket that handled like a dream, and I can honestly say that the X5 is a better handler in the twisties than the INTEGRA.

For the select few in this world who get to own this magnificent machine you will not be dissatisfied.

This thing is Incredible It handles like a sports car and gives a great view of the road. It also looks great with the 19" tires

Cargo area could be bigger and BMW does't offer a manual Transmission

I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who can afford it, there is just no equal to it.. Mercedes Benz eat your heart out.It is a superbly built machine that can drive smooth and become quick agile and fast the next minute. The steptronic though not as fun as a real manual transmission shifts the best out of all electronic shifting cars Ive driven including, Merceds,Audi and Porsche. The Interior is beautiful and of Impecable quality. this is the best all around vehicles I have ever had the pleasure to own or drive

Handling, power, performance, luxury, quality, FUN TO DRIVE!

Visibility, storage space.

The X5 is perfect for me. I want the AWD for occasional snow and for trips on crushed rock roads in the hills. I love the handling for buzzing around the foothills here. The steptronic is fun to use. Price was not a major consideration. Storage space is adequate for my tennis bag and junk. Performs well on the highway for long trips. IT IS FUN TO DRIVE, THATS THE BOTTOM LINE!
