Strength:

Power, Air Conditioning, Ride, looks.

Weakness:

Drive train and transmission.

I like the truck....but....windnoise now developing on highway, differential and rear axles had to be replaced, (40,000 KMS). I just got the truck back from the dealer and now the remote door locks do not work...and when I used the manual lock the rear hatch does not lock so I cannot leave my vehicle parked anywhere other than my garage. Trouble with dash not powering up (recall), trouble with transmission (recall). I was happy with the truck but am not feeling that way now.

Strength:

Beutiful interior, everything at a hands reach. Comfortable seating unlike the trucks I owned prior. Excellent power!!!!

Weakness:

nothing to report

Purchsed my Trailblazer after a recommendation from my cousin. So far so good; no complaints. I'm the "new" soccer mom, so I needed more passengar than cargo space, and the Trailblazer meets and exceeds my expectations.

Strength:

good power i guess when you aint thinking about the other problem you have or could have

Weakness:

Noisey, small, brake problems, seats are uncomfotable on long trips.

I have had the TrailBlazer since May 2003, We had just got back from our deployment and were going to pick up our daughter in Houston. We drove down to houston fine. It was on our way bcak that we had problems as we now had the vehicle 3 weeks and were on our way home 24hr drive back to ND when you have a toddler in the car. The Air Conditioner decides not to work it is 98 degrees in Oklahoma on the highway. We get to ND and go to our dealer and tell them to fix it they say it had no freon due to the factory mishap. Well we drive it home and next day again no air conditioner. I took it back in and had them give me a rental and told them to call as soon as my vehicle was fixed 7 hrs later the call me and say it was a switch gone bad the mechanic said he had run in to a few of those problems. My driver window makes weird noises when we roll it down like its gonna pop out of place. My brake pedal feels like there is air in it you gotta push it all the way down till you can't push no more till you start to stop, let me see what else has gone wrong, Window wipers suck, sounds like wind is comeing through the window when on the highway 55mph or more psger side.Really not to satisfied with this vehicle and paid way too much money. I have always driven a chevy but I think chevy will lose me as one of there customers and many more like me if they do not look into these problems and fixem before they put them out to sell. When we buy a brand new vehicle we shouldn't have to bring it back with problems. It new for gods sakes!

Strength:

Great air conditioning, comfortable seating, soft leather, rain detecting windshield wipers, great BOSE sound system

Weakness:

drivers seat doesn't go back far enough for a person taller than 6 ft., trunk door is quite heavy, rubber melts around door handles, other than that no complaints

I love my car! I have had absolutely no problems with it except for a little problem with the rubber melting around the frames of the door handles. I feel very safe when driving my car and it drives great in the rain (the rain detecting windshield wipers are awesome).

Strength:

Engine is quiet for now, nice power big V6-good "horsepower", Nice turn radius, interior is nice, leather is GOOD.

Weakness:

Massive Recalls, severe engine problems, electrical, and paint problems. Poor vehicel gas mileage and performance. Terrible smells on startup, Door problems, cracked welds on door, door drops when opened. Leakage of water into car, massive trips to repair shop where they keep your car for days.

This SUV was the best to come out on the market for a while, except for all the problems with it. I have filed a lawsuit and my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer is now classified as a Lemon. With only 45,000 miles on it, it’s now worth anything. I've had problems with the drivers door, paint chipping off from bumper, Engine/RPM's, poor power, windshield wiper motor, Windows, Water leaking into back windshield, 4x4 went out, Very severe problems with Screeching noise upon startup, wind noises when driving, drivers window off track multiple times, and at times no vehicle startup, just turn the key and absolutely nothing, no sound nothing. I had my car in the shop the day after I bought it, I should of know to give it back to the dealer instead of keeping it, and they have no clue as to what’s wrong with it, but now I'm stuck with my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer-Death trap, There's many more problems I’ve had, just not enough space to list em all, I would rate the Chevy Trailblazer along the lines of a KIA right now, they should ban this car from being made in the States, they all need to be taken back to production and all our money refunded, so we can all can purchase a better vehicle.

Strength:

Power, ride comfort, dealer service, great brakes and decent handling for it's size.

Weakness:

Front sway bar links expired about 14k miles, had the intermediate steering shaft replaced due to faulty slip joint causing noise. Other than that, it's been perfect.

I have been very satisfied so far. Have had none of the elecrical or computer problems as stated by others. @16k miles and getting about 19 combined mpg.

spacious, love rear climate control, when air works

Weakness:

air system

Love this vehicle, BUT.... have had in the shop twice now for same problem, air conditioner not working. Tech said it was a switch problem and he expected a recall as he had replaced several recently. Have heard nothing from Chevy regarding recall on air system. Has anyone else had this problem?

Strength:

Power, Comfort, Awesome Stereo (Bose), Ability to sneak up behind people (this thing is QUIET!), and nice extras, like the recorder and the garage door opener buttons.

Weakness:

i really dont like the cupholders in the back, when you take the drink out they close up and you cant put it back in with one hand (its hardly anything to gripe about)

WOW! This vehicle has been everything i ever wanted and more! Comfortable, quiet, powerful, and just plain pretty. I was not sure what i wanted, but i saw the chevy trailblazer and knew it was exactly what i wanted. I've read some of the other reviews, and im shocked that they had any problems with chips and such, i havent had a single problem.

Strength:

Interior room, engine,

Weakness:

Stiff ride, hesitation on acceleration, rear wiper motor doesn't always work, suspension squeak (dealer replaced front mount), transmission went at 24,000 miles (currently being replaced, 7-10 day time estimate), poor gas milage (16-18 hiway), recalls, fan speed control doesn't work on low speeds, feels unstable on rough pavement (steering wheel shakes)

Great SUV at first. Roomy interior, engine power, styling, finish. Then the problems started. I have read a lot about the problems with this model. Never buy a first year model, to many bugs!!!!!
