Strength:

Power, comfort, ride and general appearance are what sold me on this vehicle. Room for 5 with comfort is important.

Weakness:

Materials interior, too much plastic. Workmanship could be better, rubber moulding around rear doors is falling off and the rear doors had to be realigned. Engine Service light went on 3 times, the dealer fixed it under warranty, once for oxygen sensor, once for loose connector and once for gas cap sensor.

Compared to previous 92 toy 4 runner, this suv is larger, more powerful and more comfortable. Power is excellent, comfort good and general appearance and detail above average. Seats could be re configured for lateral comfort; better grade of plastic or vinyl simulation wood would help interior. Visability is good and handling could be firmer, especially on turns; this is a heavy vehicle and quite tall, as most suvs

Maneuvability!, power, comfort

Could use larger gas tank.

My wife and I have had this LTZ for just about a year with 14,000 miles. It has been in the shop for just two things: the front bumper mask was warping and outside temperature gauge kept sticking. All problems were fixed at dealership. (There is a repair bulletin for the front bumper). But overall, decent interior, low noise, great power, decent gas mileage. We had researched midsized SUVs for 6 months and bought this for $35,000 with Tax + Lic. with 3 miles on the odometer.

Horsepower, comfort, smooth suspension, roominess, bells and whistles

Weakness:

Cornering -- too much lean taking the bends, transmission (1st to 2nd), can I get some chrome for 26 grand?

Miracle of miracles. Lifetime Honda disciple tries on a Chevy. So far, so good -- I love it! The 2003 Trailblazer is an extraordinary vehicle for the price. Great pickup, super-comfortable interior, loads of passenger/cargo room, great suspension, and intelligent design. CD/Cassette sound system provides ample volume and bass. Very little noise on the road, but second gear comes in way too late for my taste (sometimes 5 or 6000 on the tach), and can make for some uncomfortable acceleration out of the blocks. Mileage is average. Hear a lot of people saying it improves over time. Wanted to agree with reviewer who mentioned mirror views - EXCELLENT. Would prefer a flatter cargo when rear seat is turned down. Haven't encountered any annoyances, but the electrical system complaints are most disturbing. I recommend a test drive but the jury is out on durability. Time will tell.

Strength:

Nice to look at and drive.

Weakness:

As above. I'm very disappointed with GM's response to these problems.

Nice to look and drive, but I've had many electrical problems -- replaced the headlights 3 times; dashboard lights and interior lights went out; windshield wipers and windshield washer came on automatically - I had to pull fuse to get it to stop. Also have had the back hatch strap replaced and passenger door realigned.

Strength:

Power power power. A true chevy truck in a baby mobile package. third row seats great, lots of space, ONSTAR is a must.

Weakness:

Say goodbye to your pickup, but smile because this baby rocks! none so far one vermont Winter down 100 to go bring on the bumps and the salt.

After many days of shopping around for a new baby mobile i decided on the tailblazer with the big mans V8. Well i actually live in the back woods where 4x4 is a must and if the old pickup had to go then this man is getting a V8. Anyway the car had to be ordered and well worth the wait. I test drove everything on the market in this price range and the V6 trailblazer beat everything so this new V8 even kicks the V6's but pretty easy. This truck i mean baby mobile is fast and strong and just plain mean. I got the the basic upgrade package to make the radio better and driver convienence better, skid plate package and locking diff. Look no further than this truck for a plain out great buy, and this is comin from a ford man. more HP then must 50 to 80 thousand dollar SUVS. I heard that an even more powerfull Trailblazer is in the works for 2004 one word enjoy!

Strength:

Quiet, smooth ride. Solid frame. Powerful inline six motor. Smooth transmission

Weakness:

Engine is sometimes "gruff" when cold, and the little problems listed above bother me

Nice, quiet vehicle. I agree with previous reviews that this vehicle turns well but leans too much in turns. Overall ride is smooth, and quiet. Rubber trim that goes around liscense plate is defective, rear winsheild fluid is clogged, dash gauges sometimes flunctuate and make noise. Got a rattle in both front doors, and RPM's flunctuate in the 50-60 MPH range while in overdrive. What the hell? Have 17,000 miles on it, and will keep this thing because bought extended warranty, so safe for now.

Four wheel drive fails, wipers don't work, computer system died, rubber falls off the doors and windows, rear axel has annoying squeak that they cannot fix. Problem after problem. Look elsewhere for a SUV.

Worst car I've ever owned. Problems with the 4x4, windshield wipers, rear axel squeak, failed computer system, rubber on doors/windows falls off. Problem after problem.

Everything is awsome. Great interior, exterior, ride, features, defiantely what i paid for.

Weakness:

Really is none, maybe needs an SS model.

This is by far the best midsize sportute on the market. I have 15,000 miles on it so far and it has no problems. Many people say stuff about how Chevrolet products tend to break down, but after growing up with a Chevy dealer for a dad i would have to say i have seen far more fords in our shop than Chevy's.

Strength:

This car drives like a Cadillac with all the amenities. The seating is great on trips, and the interior room is beyond any other on the market. It handles curves and bumps well.

Weakness:

Well we have only had this vehicle only 35 days and ahs been in the shop with serious alternator problems.... And just one day after the repairs were done the vehicle is in the shop again? And this problem came to be because the voltmeter gage wasn't registering nothing. Be very aware of your gages at all times on this vehicle.

This 2003 LS Trailblazer was a breath of fresh air in the SUV market- such style and unique design. The whole car was built totally from the ground up and with such speed and precision.
