Strength:
Great ride, quiet, strong engine, good looking, solid feel, good price, good dealer support.
Weakness:
None that I have found so far. I looked and all the major brands before deciding on a Trailblazer. The size it great and the ride and power is super. I traded a 98 Jeep Grand Charokee for this vehicle and find the Trailblazer to be much more refined that the Jeep. It is much quieter, has a better ride, and better fuel consumption. I looked and Honda and ACURA, but found them to be expensive for what they were. The dealers also don't like to deal because they know they don't have to. If your in Washington State I would strongly reccomend Roy Robinson Chev. in Marysville. They were great to deal with and gave us a fair price. I also found the LT trim level to be very nice for the price. The LTZ model is over priced. Similar Products Used: 1998 Jeep Grand Charokee |

Strength:
Good turning radius, good suspension, Love automatic lighting, Have had it for a year and only had to replace two lights.
Weakness:
My back windshield wiper fluid has clogged 3 times. Blows very easily on a windy day due to less aerodynamics and sucks gas like an SUV. Excellent SUV, test drove the Nissan Exterra and was no comparison. The trailblazer is a much smoother ride, better suspension, very good turning radius. I would recommend it for families. Strength:
Perfect mid-sized SUV..nice styling. Smooth ride
Weakness:
Easily blows on a windy day and entenna losens up causing a squeeky sound on the passenger side when riding over bumps. I think the front of the car and grill could be a little wider too. Really like the 03 LTZ..it has the complete package (leather heated seats, 6 disc cd changer, moonroof...the works). Very smooth SUV. It's my first and I enjoy it. It's actually the perfect size for me. Initially I wanted a bigger suv and I'm so glad I didn't. Handling is great except for the lightness on the highway...it blows EASILY on a windy day!! Only problem I'm having is a sqeeky/chrirping like noise on the passenger side of the car. Dealership says it's due to the entenna working itself loose..The squeek is pretty annoying when going over bumps. Only solution to the problem is to use lock tight to keep the entenna from getting loose. Similar Products Used: none |

Strength:
L6 engine, Looks, step bumper in rear bumper, traile hitch.Nicely designed. Great 4 wheel drive system
Weakness:
None I purchased my 2003 Trailblazer on 01/02/03. I already have 5000 miles on itm and evry mile hs been a joy to drive, Especially on the highway. That L6 engine runs sp quiet, and the 275 horses really respond. I had a 98 Blazer that I traded in and the TBlazer is much more vehicle, more roomier , and comfortable, I would reccommend this SUV to any one!! I road tested, ford, dodge, Honda, and Envoy There was no comparison. The TBlazer is the best of te (4). |

Strength:
The truck is a strength in many ways. I believe too many to list. Impressive through and through ! No let downs yet. The bigger back doors definitely make a huge difference, then the doors on the LS.
Weakness:
We've found no weaknesses as of yet on it. It's perfect ! I've found it easy to drive for myself, as well as my husband ! My husband and I bought the 2002 Trailblazer LS, and it didn't seem to have much backseat room. We will soon be having a growing family, therefore decided we must go larger. We did LOOK at the Tahoe's and found them to be mainly overpriced for what their basic model offered. We went back to the Trailblazers and looked at the LT's ... which I found to be most comfortable. Our most recent purchase has tan leather interior, beautiful black exterior ! Definitely a "Black Beauty" ! I sat in the 3rd row of seats and found them to be VERY comfortable, and that's not an easy task at 5'10 / 200 pounds ! I could have sit a twin of myself, next to me with no comfort problems at all. I definitely say this one is a TOP ! For the price of a basic Tahoe, we purchased (and got a major deal) the new LT EXT and found it to be exactly what you pay for ! It's phenominal !!!! |

Strength:
Engine. It pulls the boat great, is quiet and very smooth
Weakness:
Loud moan when cruising at 61 or 62 MPH. I understand that there will be a foreign name on this same vehicle with a 10 year 120K warranty next year. What a DEAL Awsome vehicle. I owned a 98 Blazer, what a pile when compared. The Trailblazer does great on the road for MPG (23-24). Similar Products Used: Grand Cherokee, Exploder |

Strength:
makes just about every other non-V8 SUV engine seem like a wimp. even the base version is luxurious. While the envoy exterior is a little more classy, the interior is a bit much. Get the trailblazer for less unless you are into leather seats. I like the trailblazer stepbumper better than the envoy as it makes the roof rack a little easier to access. The integrated trailer hitch and plug is a great feature. Towing is good, but . . . you know what I'm going to say.
Weakness:
roof rack is pretty good but not as solid as Tahoe rack. rear window defroster and wiper/washer is inadequate. interior volume is barely adequate for trips to the cottage. We had a Tahoe before this, and I have to say the Tahoe is a better truck, tons of room and the V8 power is better than the trailblazer V6. But GM has jacked up the price of Tahoes so the Trailblazer was the next best. We test drove every SUV out there (in 2002) and the Trailblazer V6 is still pretty awesome (if you haven't experienced the Tahoe.) But the non-EXT trailblazer is a bit too small for all our cottage gear. also, the rear window defroster is pathetic and the rear window washer never seems to be able to spray fluid. Unacceptable at this price. also, we picked up a nail in a tire that was not repairable and it took several weeks for our dealer to get another tire. this is a great cruising vehicle on the highway and the 4WD is a good system. If only I wasn't spoiled by a bigger truck, yes, size matters! Strength:
Definitely the engine is the best strength. Those 275 ponies know how to get up and GO! The dual climate control is amazing. The sound system is very good. This SUV glides along the road and takes bumps extremely well. Superior for long and short trips. Overall appearance.
Weakness:
Maybe the body roll on corners, but given the smooth ride, I can't complain. No other weaknesses. This is the first SUV I've owned and I am incredibly impressed. The ride is SO smooth and the engine is amazing. The engine only makes niose when you want it to under full acceleration. And wow, does it sound great and you can only hold on as your body is pressed to the seat. The interior is done so well and the on the outside, it looks far better than any SUV on the road. Strength:
Engine, engine, and engine. Smooth, quiet, powerful, and, given the power, not bad gas mileage. It outperforms my old 96 Grand Cherokee V8 - but with two less cylinders and better MPG.
Weakness:
Not quite as off road capable as a Jeep. I live in the Sierra Nevadas and it handles the snow just fine. Off road is also good. I've owned Jeeps, Cadillacs and pickup trucks. This is clearly the best vehicle I've ever owned. Similar Products Used: 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee; 89 Suburban; 89 Jeep Cherokee; 72 Jeepster Commando. |

Smooth ride, powerful v-6, roomy and comfortable, tight feel, and great looks!
Weakness:
gas mileage, little more ground clearance. I love my trailblazer! I love the on road ride and great power from the v-6. Have had it off road several times and it performed great! I did put p265/70 Michelin LTX M/S for a little bigger tire. I have pulled my 21 ft. bass boat with my Trailblazer and my cousins 03' Explorer, no comparison, the trailblazer took the hills much easier.
