Strength:

Good mileage, good looks, great fun shifting gears, and really fun to drive. Can't wait to try the new turbo engine.

Weakness:

Not being able to open it up like on the autobaun. I cant' drive 55......This car has no weakness, just drivers.

I love my PT from day one. It is so fun to drive and plenty of room and even very large people can fit in the front or back. My car gets good mileage and love the off the floor seats for my bad back. It dose have a blind spot over your left shoulder but extra spot mirrors solve the problem.

Weakness:

Bad,Stinky,Foul,Gross Odor coming from the AC/Heat vents in the car since the Day we drove it off the Lot. Don Davis has tried everything but Chrysler has lived up to there reputation of trying to get in the way of making the customer happy.

I loved this car when I test Drove it. But oh how Time Fads with a Stinky AC/ and Heat Vent and Really Bad Gas Miliage

Strength:

This car is all out cool. It does a good job of providing roomy seating for four adults(for a mid size car), and the rear seats comes out for the Home Depot runs. What I real like is that the interior lights come on when you unlock the doors(via the remote) or turn the car off. This car got a good review in the consumer reports 2003 for reliability. This should be recommended reading.

Weakness:

The major deficiency is the lack of chrome door Knobs, and vent controls. The shift knob is to small, feels like a toy. Its just not right. But don't worry there are after market parts to correct all of those.

I purchased my 2003 PT Crusier limited edition one month ago. I love the car. I bought it for its styling (you either like it or you don't). The car is solid. It rides well, it's a comfortable and smooth. You do sit up a bit in the car. At first, I tried to lower the seat to no avail, but then I got use to it. Although the car is small, it will hold four adults with room to spare. I think this is because of the seats being so high. About the gas mileage, I get about 18.5 in the city, but I have a stick. There car does have a blind spot on the back left corner. It is bigger than most, but all you have to do is turn your head and look. (I can't believe people make such a big deal about that.) The car gets dusty fast. I have the electric pearl coat blue, its.... beautiful, but... I have to wash it once a week or it shows.(I don't trust the car wash with this car.) The PT Cruiser is not a muscle car. I moves along well, even with four passengers. I find that the car picks up power at 2000 rpms and above. If you keep it up there, you'll have no complaints. In summary its a stylish car with plenty of room, a comfortable ride and good handling.

I use to have a ford explorer sport, what a lemon that was. It had more interior room, but it only had two passenger doors. It had more power, but it ran like crap. The car spent more time in the shop

Strength:

Feels expensive - heated leather seats, 4 air bags, ABS, nice and powerful sound system (if a bit boomy) . The doors close like those on the proverbial bank vault. Only been through a tank and a half of gas so far, but guessing its getting in the low to mid twenties. Not too bad, and a big improvement over our 3.3L "mini" van. Price - these things are a real bargain right now with the rebates. Fun to drive - unless you're hoping for a hot rod. Very quiet compared to other small cars I've owned. 5 speed gives it adequate get-up-and-go. The upright driving position is the best. Even though you aren't up as high as a big SUV you have a great view forward. 7/70 warranty took some of the worry out of buying another Mopar product

Weakness:

Why are the rear window switches on the center console near the floor?? Have to be careful backing up.

PT replacing a none-too-reliable 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager. We were looking for a smaller car, better gas mileage, but with some of the same utility of the van. Took a hard look at the Pontiac Vibe, Honda Element & CRV, and Subaru Forester, but none of these offered the same combination of utility, driving experience, and price ($2500 rebate) of the PT.

Strength:

Plenty of room for minor hauling. Comfortable ride. Great little car!

Weakness:

A little weak on the gas mileage. Could use a little bit better visibility for looking over the driver's shoulder (left side).

For those of you that don't like the Cruiser....all I can say is that you bought one with your eyes wide open. Not every car out of the factory is going to be a jewel. That's why they have warranties. Get over it! I love our Cruiser! We bought it knowing the goods and bads. If you thought you were getting a Viper or getting a Ram truck...think again! The Cruiser is for fun! Just that...nothing more. It's not a race car or a full size truck. It's for Cruisin'!!!

Strength:

Good looks, utilitarian cargo area, fold-down seats, legroom.

Weakness:

Vastly underpowered, terrible gas mileage, rubbery shifter, terrible service record.

I loved this car for the first few months. Then things started falling apart. Before long, the car had gained a reputation with my family and everyone I know as a rickety bucket of bolts. First the engine failed, at about 2000 miles, in Gary Indiana. That was bad. Then the headlights started to go, and the brakes, the parking brake refused to work. The airbag light came on, and the horn stopped working. The headlights again. And again. The headlights broke a total of 4 times. And the dealer, Napleton's Northwestern in Chicago, has not been easy to deal with either. The car can be fun at times, and it's good for hauling cargo, but there are far better choices out there. Not worth the hassle.
