Strength:

The way you sit in it. Soundness of the car. Reto Styling. Roomy family car. Removable seats. Price!

Weakness:

?????? Really nothing that I can think of. I now have 5000 miles on it and nothing bad to say

I am totally happy with the purchase of my PT Cruiser! I think it was a good value being so roomy and was not looking forward to buy a mini van or the SUV that ALL look the same! How can you go wrong with the styling and the price?

Strength:

Storage capability, Beautiful Retro looks, Quick for a 4 Cylinder, great AC/heater, a real head-turner.

Weakness:

I haven't found a single thing that I dislike about this car. It's perfect.

This has got to be the best car that I have ever owned. I waited almost 4 months to get it and it was definately worth the wait. It has a very smooth ride, and a lot of power for a small car. We are constantly amazed at how much stuff we can pack into it and still have room. I recently used it on a trip for over 3,500 miles and was very comfortable the whole time. It's so great we already have plans on purchasing a second one for my wife.
Chrysler really did a great job with this car. The quality is outstanding.

Strength:

Great visibility from the drivers seat, exciting design with great utility.
Fit & finish are above average. The PT feels very plush, mre like what you would expect in a much more expensive vehicle. Handles like a dream, you'd never know you were in such a "tall" car!

Weakness:

Two blind spots to the rear that have left me with several close calls.
Fuel economy could be better...but is improving as mileage adds up, as has the power.

After putting close to 12K miles on the PT in 8 short months I have to say it's one of the least problematic vehicles we've owned...as well as one of the most fun! The customization options are endless....giving you plenty of opportunity to "make it yours". The car is not recommended to the shy. You WILL be asked about it ,& often. For those of us "into" cars it's a joy. We paid significantly more than MSRP, but are glad we did. Altho worth the wait, we prefered parting with a bit more cash to have it NOW.
I would definitely recommend the PT to anyone wanting a style concious , practical vehicle

I've never owned a vehicle with this much utility! We were sports car people & are used to having very small rear seats & non-existant trunks. The PT really showed us we could still have style, fun AND a bit of storage. The kids LOVE the spacious rear seat & beg to take the PT everywhere. We find the Mustang being used less and less and are considering trading it in for a second PT.

Strength:

Exterior styling, interior flexibility, handling, construction quality. The 5 speed has a really nice tight shift pattern and plenty of power.

Weakness:

Mileage could be a bit better, and the stereo sound quality isn't great. Why isn't the 2.0 Litre available in North America? A diesel version would be nice too. The 5 speed is plenty peppy, and I would trade some speed for better mileage.

I would absolutely recommend the PT Cruiser. It is a great car with a great feel. A perfect car for me -- fun, yet flexible enough to handle my hauling requirements (family of 4, or LOTS of junk!). I got the touring package, and the cornering, handling and feel of the road are great! It gives a really quiet and solid ride when negotiating bumpy roadways. I'm also impressed with its stopping ability, even without the available ABS option. The sound system could be a bit better, but if you turn down the treble control about half way it sounds 100% better. If I were serious about sound quality, I would consider getting a sub-woofer to augment the base response. However, the many good features of this car are more than enough to outweigh the few bad points. So even if the car isn't perfect, it is definitely worth more than 4 stars, so I give it a 5.

Strength:

Looks, Clever Features, Stereo, Room, Size, Shift Knob

Weakness:

Engine Power, Gas Cap on Passenger Side, Window Controls in Center of Dash

I firmly believe this is the perfect car. The most beautiful economy car ever, it has more room than a small SUV, and front-to-back is smaller than most compact cars. It has plenty of head- and leg-room for the rear seat passengers, and plenty of clever features abound. This car was well thought-out, well-designed, and priced at an amazingly low price. Chrysler took a risk with this car, and it paid off impressively. Kudos to them for having the courage to build a concept car and execute it well.

Strength:

Everything in the car is a PLUS. The intereior finish is excellent. The Leather trim is more comfortable than my wifes new volvo. The car rides smooth, and acceleration is quite well for a small car. The best part of the car is the SIZE. It is as small as a neon, yet you fell like your driving a JEEP. The cabin room is very spacious. The picnic basket is great. And the seating arrangments are excellent.

Weakness:

Chrysler should think of making a "supercharged" or Special model. Like I said, acceleration is good, but could be better. This psecial edition should come with dual exaust. Otherwise the car is the best thing I ever spent 22,000 dollars on.!

I payed 22,000 for the Limited edition. It's loaded with every available option including a rear spolier. Mopar offers a body skirt which I am oredering through Mopar.com. I recommend everyone acts now on this car.The longer you wait, the longer the waiting list time, and the price may surprisingly go up.

Strength:

Tremendous value for the money, the car draws alot of attention. This will die off [i hope].Handles VERY WELL,Getting about 23 mpg city.Plenty of pep for me little [if any] outside noise.

Weakness:

Wish it had headlights that come on automatically.and a 6 way power passenger seat [my drivers seat is a power seat also]

I ordered my car March 6th I took delivery May 30th.I paid sticker price 20 thousand 5oo dollars this car has every option available including AMoonroof,Leather,C/D,Traction Control,Chrome Wheels. The color is light silver. with a kinda Charcoal Grey color interior. The car is RED HOT EVERYWHERE I go people point and go gaga over it.I bought this car based on LOOKS.I AM NOT hauling ladders or anything in it.This is my 1rst Chrylser product I have owned 14 brand new cars and NONE has drawn the attention that this has.I did buy a new gas weedeater today and folded the passenger front seat down flat to put the 6 foot product in.It took all of 5 seconds to release the reclining handle. The sound system is not bad for a factory unit.Everything is very easy to use .I have not tried any of the 26 seating configirations and doubt i will. For 21 grand including tax and 170.00 license plates this was a deal!!My dealer now says 10 to 12 month wait and more money!!!I am glad I ordered it when I did,my 12 yr. old daughter REALLY likes it.I also added some GOOD High intensity discharge headlights they are REAL BRIGHT WHITE BUT are perceived to look blue. They look great on this car I had to personalize it and they throw alot of light.

Strength:

IT's the total package - versatility, good looks, reasonable price. This vehicle has EVERYTHING!

Weakness:

I have only one complaint, there's no light in the glove box. Other than that, I am very very happy. OH, and maybe the weekly washings and babying of my cruiser is alot of work, but that's part of the FUN!

I recommend the PT Cruiser to anybody, it's a beauty to behold, a pleasure to drive, and just plain fun. I ask you, "What could you buy that would give you so mcuh fun for anywhere's close to the price?" I can't answer that quesiton, because there is NOTHING liek owning a PT Cruiser.

The Car of the Year, one of Car and Driver's 10 Best, North American Car of the Year, etc, etc, etc. That says alot!

Strength:

Really cool ride...gets lots of looks....great paint and outside trim...surprisingly comfortable with a very stable presence on the road. Solid turning in and out. Great visibility through the front and over the top. Tight interior with beautiful leather and all appointments. Excellent flexibility for carrying an assortment of cargo and people. Great value for price - when was the last time you had this much fun with a car for this kind of price - Answer: A freakin-a long time ago...that's when!

Weakness:

Hmmm...not much. Limited visibility through right rear mirrors - but you'd have that with any bubble type van vehicle. Would have loved to have a little more under the hood when I step on the gas.

If you go for one. try not to get stuck too hard on the premium for jumping ahead of someone on the waiting list. And the waiting list gets a little longer each day (I'm hearing an average wait of about 11 months for a true list price PT to be delivered to its original ordering owner). Forget the Chrysler dealers who want to bone you to the tune of $27 - $30K for the vehicle if you want one tomorrow. Check the newspaper and the web (eBay) for leads to smaller dealers and fleet vendors who have access to these cars and will sell or lease them to you for a 10 to 15% bump over sticker (that's what I did)...this is a lot of car for the $$$ anyway so if you shop careful you'll wind up with a little Cherry on your driveway that everyone will envy at a price well worth the value received.
