That power from the 302 V-8 and the sounds from my dual two and half inch flowmaster exhausts along with the headers.
Weakness:
I need a new air filter and it probably wouldnt hurt to get a lift, otherwise its the best Ive had yet. My Bronco is great, it gets me "anywhere" I want to go. I would like to fix it up with a two inch lift, but I dont really have the money since I just got it painted. It has been well maintained, even though it has been tortured quite a bit in the mud with its 33" tires stuffed in the wheel wells of the factory bronco. |

Bronco II 4 x 4 Eddie Bauer
Strength:
Enough power and good 4x4. In 20inches of snow I could easily drive around my clogged parking lot in high and pushed many people out. I can easily put two mountain bikes after folding the rear seats.
Weakness:
Some small things but then nothing is perfact. This is a great truck will buy a full size next. I bought this truck after getting rid of my 2001 Corolla and 1991 Celica. Those are some good reliable cars, But I heard enough about Bronco and was willing to take the risk. Has been more than delighted. Have had it for just more than two months have already put 2.5 k miles on it. runs good and strong. The last owner screwed up wrong bearings on the left front so had to gte them fixed and a couple of more general problems means some $400 invested But I don''''''''t mind that. Took it recently to the Mall of America which is 400 miles from my place and have had no problem. Runs strong and is intimidating on the highway. People easily gives you way. incredible turning radius. Menacing looking. 4x4 is great.
Weakness:
Tailgate badly rusted. noisy. Rough ride. My dad bought this truck new in 86. He gave it to me in 98 with 67,000 miles. I had to replace the master cylinder and most of the ignition and fuel systems at about 98,000, beyond that it''s been pretty reliable. It''s powered by 5.0 liter EFI V8 with a four speed automatic. Power is adequete but not impressive. Performs great on the freeway, off road, or in 3 feet of snow. Nice inside with cloth captain''s chairs and lots of room. Minnesota winters have taken their toll on the body, especially the tailgate. Gas mileage is bad but then it is a big truck with a v8. Good all around vehicle. Best truck ever built. Could run into a semi and have minimal damage. Come to a stop, hold the brake down, floor it and the truck lifts up about 4 inches.(lots of torque!!)
Weakness:
not a whole lot besides gas and it isn''t even that bad compared to brand new s.u.v.''s This is the best damn truck ever built! Broncos were made the way trucks were suppossed to be made! My Bronco has had only one thing wrong with it and it isn''t Ford''s fault. I could fall asleep in the driver''s side captan chair. The thing sounds tough and looks tough too. Similar Products Used: nothing will ever compare unless they come out with a new bronco, and I think they should!!! |

4 wheel drive and turning radius
Weakness:
I purchased it with 32000 mi and the first thing I had to fix were all the bushings in the front end. The cause is the catalitic converter is too close to on bushing. Then I had a rod bearing go out at 65000 and had to replace the bottom end. Next was the abs light I left that alone. Finally I sold it after having the all the exhaust manifold sensors go and the map sensor which controls oxygen at altitude changes.Total repair costs before 800000 mi is 4000.00 As you can tell I have had enough of the Ford experience I really liked this suv for all our camping trips and any long trip. Its 4 wheel drive is excellant and has a great turning raduis Similar Products Used: Chevy Blazer |

Yeah right. this should only be on chevy reviews. I got this bronco for my birthday it had 33x14 super swamper ssr tirs with about a 4" lift recently we had a very large snow so i mounted up some 31" Ditch Witch tires and went out looking for drifts. finding a feild road that hadnt been traversed i smashed on the gas. findidng that the road was covered in about 3 foot of snow the bronco had no trouble what so ever and could have handled more if i had larger tires for more axel clearance. its extremely tough and runs strong with a 5.8l V-8 and also posi-trac. We also use it to climb steep hills. it really turns heads dirty or clean. great ride for the dollar. Extremely capable 4x4 with geat looks. Similar Products Used: 78 Ford step side with 38" tires. to rough no time or money to restore. My friend has a show and shine blazer and it doesnt hold a candle to my bronco. |
