I am young, and I know a lot of friends that have "jacked-up" Z71's and Blazer's. You can't even compare. This thing will take almost all lifted SUV's, trucks, whatever in Off-road. Strong engine, fairly reliable. I bought it in really bad shape, however I have restored it about 85% and it is a beast. I love this thing. Fairly accessable engine for easy access. Fun as hell and you get a lot of locks when you fire up that great 351.
Weakness:
Gas...what can I say? You live with it and pay for the fun it brings or go and get a Chevy. It leaks a lot. But that is fixable with money of course. Rear window motor went out. Power door locks act up sometimes. Tanny has some problems sometimes, just get it serviced. Did I already say gas, I get 11 on a good tank. Add some engine mod's and that will go up soon. I would recommend this SUV to anyone, as long as you have a few bucks and are willing to get your hands dirty. Great Off-roader. Similar Products Used: I have a few friends that have F-150's, Z71, and Blazers. All are good off-roaders however they can't take the trashin like this Bronc' |

Strength:
Power for towing, offroading, crusing.
Weakness:
Getting stuck running with 31's and extruded aluminum running boards. I think putting 32's on and losing the running boards will help this alot. My Bronco is an awesome rig! I only have 2 complaints. First, there is the most killer rattle noise in the far right corner of the dash board and I cannot find it! If anybody has any tricks to fix this, please fill me in! Secondly, I hate my tires. They're ElDorado ZR4 31x10.5 and I think they are too small on top of being worthless for traction. Anyway, I love my Bronco. Come summmer/spring, I'm gonna get all the scratches buffed out and get some of the rust on the chrome buffed off and it'll be back in pristine condition. Chrome sure is a pain in the butt to take care of!=) Similar Products Used: Chevy Tahoe, Ford Super Duty F-250 |

Weakness:
Gas Milage,Gas Milage, and Gas Milage Cant go wrong w/ a big ass Bronco. I put a 6 inch skyjacker lift on to fit some 35 inch BFG mtrs. IT IS UNSTOPPABLE. Going to add some perfomance mods to it just to get more horsepower. I would take this Ford over any truck. Strength:
Solid body, lots of interior room.
Weakness:
Terrible, terrible reliability. Burned at least one quart of oil every 3000 miles. Bad gas mileage. Difficult to get into back seat. Rough riding. Great truck until 60,000 miles, then a recurrent nightmare until I thankfully got rid of it. I bought it new and in the first year it required a new radio and tie rods. After that it was good until 60000 miles. Between 60000-75000 miles the transmission went out, three times! I had to replace the condenser on the air conditioning unit in the middle of a 117 degree Phoenix day. The seams on the oil pan continued to leak after three replacements. The slot that holds the ignition key totally fell apart and had to be replaced twice within 15000 miles. Similar Products Used: None |

This truck is a bad ass. I have driven it hard as hell for over 10 years, and have had nothing but routine maintenace. I have towed heavy loads hundreds of miles, driven through the swampiest mud and clay from southern GA to northern WV, climbed monster hills, and driven it every day without missing a beat. Its 351W has more power than I could ever use. It loves the cold. I want another on so I can give this one the restoration it deserves. Honestly I don't have any idea how many other trucks I have pulled out. I have put a warn winch and bumper on the front, twin tube pipe bumper on the back, 33x12.5 15's and Flowmaster exhaust. Everything else is stock.
Weakness:
I average about 11mpg, but it is worth every bit of it. This is the toughest, most reliable, 4wheelinest, everyday driving, all terrain, chick magnet ever built. I replaced the rear bumper with twin chrome pipes. Since then 4 cars have rear-ended me at stopligts, and 4 cars were towed directly to the junkyard without puttng a scratch on my big black Bronco. Weakness:
In Rumford I Noticed that my bronco was alittle to big for some of the trails.the only other thing I don't like is the gas milage.Poor I live in the middle of the city so it sticks out like a sore thumb.I love peoples expression when i drive down the street as they stare at my Enormus 4x4 Rig with 35x12. Wide Climbers tires.I haven’t really been able to test it in deep snow yet.But I Looking forward to It as for the Mudding & Off roading It Handles Great Took it to Rumpford for fishing two weekends in a row had a blast.Working as Patient Attendant,I plain to add a black Smitty-Bilt Wrap-Around bumper guard, and Tube step bars,a bug deflector, window deflectors, black grab bars and a Shaker Proglass Hood, large cut-out black bushwhacker fender flares with a Sprectra Blue Similar Products Used: I use to drive a 89 Ford taurus,I had alot of problem on the slipery roads I have really not drove it in Deep Deep Snow But have in sluch & snow hanled alot better the my car,My Boss had one in ICESTORM 98 when everyone |

My Bronco is bone stock with a 351 windsor, posi front and rear, 32x11.50 tires and it will out 4x any lifted chevy i have ever challenged, and theres only 2 sand dunes i have found that it wont make it up, and thats because of the approach angle. its a beast that has tons of power and i love driving it, and its still running strong with 170k miles on the original engine, it has a new tranny though, soon to be a 4 speed with granny gear though.everything on this truck is built tough, i havent even broken a single U-joint in a year offroad abuse. and best of all, its not a chevy
Weakness:
gas mileage, i get 10 mpg in the city, about 14 on the highway. transmission klunks too thats probably from abusing it though i would recomend a bronco to anyone that wants a truck that will do just about anything you want it to stock, and will do absolutely anything once its built, and id recomend it to any young driver thats going to abuse it, because a bronco can handle it, i know, ive abused mine. either a bronco or an f-150 can handle a lot of abuse, the whole drivetrain is the exact same. buy a bronco, just dont buy a blazer of tahoe, theyre pieces of junk, and chevys ifs cant even come close to comparing to fords twin traction bar dana 44 Similar Products Used: driven blazers and suburbans, they dont even compare. my best friends last 2 trucks have been an 85 and 96 f-150,theyre about the same. |

Strength:
The great thing about this car is that it has so much power. You can tell that if you really needed this car to get up and go it has the power to. Also if you are towing a boat it is awesome because of the large amount of power.
Weakness:
The only weaknes that I could find in this great truck is that the gas milege is very low. It is around 10-15 miles per gallon. This is the best truck that i have ever owned. I think that if you are looking for a truck but you also want some style in your vehicle, then you should defenitly go for this truck. It has the power of a truck and the comfort of a Cadilac. This is the ultimate truck for every occasion. Similar Products Used: None |
