I like the looks of this monster. Jet black with privacy glass in rear side windows. The 31 inch tires are a real plus too. It's my first 4x4 and i love it. the alluminum wheels make it look tough. It doesn't just look tough though. It will sling mud with the best.
Weakness:
If there was something I didn't like it would be the not so soft ride. I mean I know it's not supposed to ride like a cadilac but it could be a bit softer. 12,225. I do recommend a 1995 Ford Bronco. Similar Products Used: None |

I love it because it is one of the few "tough" suv's out there. Plenty of power, good ground clearance, and a mean appearance. Not just another family suv that the roads are full of now a days. Todays suv's are nothing more than mini vans with four wheel drive. Fancy leather seats, six inches of ground clearance, and more digital and electrical gadgets than you would know what to do with. None of that in the bronco. But although it is basic its not primitive. It's got power windows and door locks, a.c, and shift on the fly four wheel drive. This truck is awesome off road. Mud, snow, sand, you name it and it will go through it. There are a lot of aftermarket parts for these trucks. Taking the roof off in the summer is great.
Weakness:
Rust,Rust, and more Rust. Thank god for bondo! Big rust area's are always the fenders and the tailgate. Back seats are a pain to get in and out of but i'm always driving so what do I care. Steering is terrible. Truck wanders all over the road. But from what I've heard this is a problem with all full size ford trucks. Brakes are always needing work. AOD transmission shifts with a big thud. Terrible gas mileage. I paid $4000 in 98. Right now it has 160,000 miles and is still running strong. I would definetly recommend this vehicle to people who want a simple old fashioned 4x4 for off roading, trailer towing, winter driving and for people who like to hunt, fish, and camp. I would not reccomend it for women or families with small children. Similar Products Used: My last truck was a 88 ranger. It was all right. No where near the power and off road ability of the bronco. But better gas mileage. |

This real TRUCK (not a yuppie suv) has been described as: a beast, a monster, an animal, the unstopable force, and so on. I have had mine for 8 1/2 years and have driven through a hurricane - water deep enough to come in the bottom of the doors, over 3 feet of snow - pulled/pushed ambulences and other "trucks" out snow. All of this with a stock Bronco - 4.9L 6 Cyl., except I have 32" BF Goodrich Radial A/T tires.
Weakness:
Bottom of tailgate rusts out on the majority of them, if not maintained properly over the years brakes get mushy and steering gets sloppy. Rides like a truck (what a surprise - not a weakness for real truckers). Hard to get in and out of the rear seat. The Bronco is a very tough truck but not for everyone. If you have no need for a truck and are just jumping on the "suv" crazy train then DON'T get a Bronco. It was not designed with comfort and smooth ride in mind. If you need a truck that demands respect and kicks ass in the snow, mud, sand and can pull and push with the best of them then the Bronco is for you. Similar Products Used: None |

Its tough relaible and handles very well considereing its size
Weakness:
The only complaint tnat i have is that it drinks gas like a druken hobo. Mine was about 30,000 i got it new in 89. This was the final year of Bronco production. I reccomend the truck to anyone who ants the best of both worlds, a truck thay handles well but still isnt afraid to kick it off road. It is my beast, and i love it. Similar Products Used: Compared to the other newer SUV's out there it is more compact, most of the others like the new exlporer and durango are juggernauts this Truck is truly a sports utility vehicle it has the handling of a sprts car and the utility of a truck. |

Always starts, even in -40 degree temps. Very maneuverable, especially considering it's size. I've owned three, all with 100,000+ miles and they've been good, tough trucks. I like being able to remove the top!!
Weakness:
Fuel economy. I had a '75 Blazer with full-time 4WD and a 350 engine. It got as good gas mileage as any of my Broncos with the 5 liter engine. AC was a little under-powered I'd recommend a Bronco to anyone who needs a solid, reliable vehicle, and isn't concerned with fuel prices. I've owned two 1989's and one 1995, and they've all been great! Truthfully, I can transport larger and more lumber, etc. in my minivan, but we all know who will come out second-best in the event of a collision. Similar Products Used: All my experiences have been with basic models, but when comparing a Bronco Custom with a stripped-down Blazer, the Blazer's interiors always looked cheap. They didn't even cover the wheel wells/side panels with anything to deaden road noise. |

good interior, power locks, windows
Weakness:
very rough ride, burns oil like nobody's business. Many repairs ranging from starters to alternators, batteries, AND WORST OF ALL, THE WORST TRANSMISSION OF ALL TRANSMISSIONS!!!!!!. Had to replace and service the transmission several times. The tail pipe rusted off and the inside of the truck smells like dirty exhaust, terrible gas milage All the repairs that I've had to put money into really pisses me off about this vehicle. I have a friend with a 89' Bronco 2 his has similar problems as well. My dad drives a Nissan Pathfinder which has 250,000 miles on it and is still running EXCELLENT!!! buy a Nissan. You will save yourself many headaches. I've made this truck sound pretty bad, but It isn't the worst truck out there Similar Products Used: Nissan Pathfinder, Newer model Ford Explorer |
