GC limited 5.9
Strength:
Great value for the money compared to other more expensive suv's. Sharp looking. Great performance. (Runs 14.9s in the 1/4 and 0-60 in 6.4 sec with few mods) A very comfortable, fast highway cruiser with great offroad capabilities. (or was that a very capable 4X4 with exceptional highway performance?) I personally really like the full time four wheel drive plus having a low range. Good range of features without being too loaded down. Not too big. (don't know what I would do if I had a large family).
Weakness:
Not the tightest, most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned. (Compared to most German or Japanese built vehicles) Let's not even talk about the gas mileage.(Premium required) Problems: brake rotors warp, recurring oil leaks (transfer case 5 times, engine once, pinion & axle seals), driveline vibration, excessive detonation. All fixed under warranty. Very glad I have warranty coverage!(And I do maintain the vehicle meticulously) An excellent all around vehicle that is the best combination of a Corvette and a Hummer. Can't think of a better choice of vehicle for active outdoor people, or in particular, the driving enthusiast who lives in northern climates. The most versatile, satisfying vehicle I have ever owned. My only worry is that I hope in a few years when I may want to replace it, that another vehicle like this is being made. Similar Products Used: Have owned two other Jeeps previously and where happy with them. The 5.9 is just everything the others where lacking. Drove the "best selling" suv the explorer and can't figure out why someone would own one. Thought it was a boring, gutless box. Thought the escalade and navigator where heavy, garish, pretentious barges. Would like to check out the upcomming BMW X5 4.6. |

Strength:
Seat and capability
Weakness:
Look too aggresive. Cost more then a CR-V It is an excellent SUV. Similar Products Used: There are nothing on the market with the capability as good as this. At the same time, those seem to have good luxury features, a suffering on snow and unpaved Rd. capability |

Strength:
The V8 Power, nice smooth ride, great off-road 4x4
Weakness:
The wood trim on the dash. The stock stereo needs major improvements. This has been the best vehicle that I have ever owned. It handles very well and it still will take any off road abuse. Humm luxury and Off-Road King! Similar Products Used: My first Midsize SUV |

Strength:
Comfort, Off-Road Ability
Weakness:
None Jeeps are the greated vehicles on Earth. The Grand Cherokee maintains the Jeep tradition of off-road capability yet still provides many of the features of a luxory car. Similar Products Used: Jeep Wrangler |

Strength:
Style, Off-Road Capability
Weakness:
gas mileage Excellent vehicle. Pleased in nearly every aspect. Very competent off-road and on-road. The V-8 makes a world of difference. The Quadradrive works under all "Soccer Mom" scenarios, but have seen it forget how to work off road in certain situations Similar Products Used: ZJ, and Explorer. The WJ is much better |

Just feels solid, nice ride, strong six cylinder
Weakness:
None Good overall vehicle, better built than my previous Explorer and s-10 Blazer. The Jeep I-6 is smoother and stronger than 4.o liter that was in my 94 Explorer. I get 25% better mileage with the Grand Cherokee. Its just fun to drive, it doesn't feel big and boxy like the explorer. Similar Products Used: None |

GC Loredo
Strength:
Comfort, room, smoothness, attractive, versatile, powerful, dependable, tough, offroad performance.
Weakness:
Gas milage. But understandable. I'm having a great experience with it. Best vehicle I ever purchased. It fits my every need. I use my GC Loredo everyday. I commute to work during the week. I pull my 18' HydroSport boat on the weekends through dirt paths and hilly terrain effortlessly. Winter is absolutely no problem. I drive with confidence, with my family of 5.In my opinion, the GC's are perfectly engineered for any type of travel. Similar Products Used: As far as size and power, I would say the Durango R/T 4x4. |

Grand Cherokee Laredo
Strength:
I always feel safe in my Jeep, even at extreme angles during off-roading.
Weakness:
Pay at the pump (which is true of almost all vehicles in this class). I bought my 98 Laredo used at a non-Jeep dealership; it only had 8000 miles on it, and my mechanic ensured it was in mint condition. Further, I was able to negotiate about $10,000 off the sticker price. A great value on a vehicle with power, comfort and style. I love riding my Jeep! Similar Products Used: I previously owned a '94 Laredo. Suspension and comfort are vastly improved. |

Strength:
Capability, performance, style.
Weakness:
Nothing major thus far. Shorted out rear stoplight bulb is about the only thing, barely worth mentioning. Showed up on the VIC as "Rear light failure" and I took care of it easily. Very happy with my ZJ. Owned a TJ first, moved to this, and both Jeeps have been great. There's something to be said for driving a Jeep -- it just feels good.
