Strength:

Great classic look.
Millions of aftermarket ways to make it unique.
Powerful 6 speed inline 6 cylinder.
Go anywhere.
Jeep owner fraternity.
Heaps of fun to drive.

Weakness:

About as areodynamic as a cinder block, lots of wind noise.
Poor gas mileage.
Little room for groceries and such.

I love my Jeep! I've wanted a Wrangler since I got my drivers license. From feeling the wind and sun in my hair in the summer to plowing through the snow in the winter, this is a great year round vehicle.

I love my Jeep Wrangler. They are extremely fun to drive, and are very addictive. I recently was considering trading in my Wrangler for a Pickup Truck. I came to my senses though! I'm hanging on to the Wrangler. There simply is no other vehicle that can compare to it. Any other pick up or suv is just a pick up or an suv, nothing special. But a Jeep is a Jeep, cool to look at, fun to drive, and a part of American history! I am giving the Jeep the highest rating. If you like driving Jeeps, there is nothing else, and I mean nothing else that compares. It's in a class all by itself.

Strength:

OFF ROAD capability is by far untouchable by any other vehicle not hummer, land rover, or toyota! Fun to drive! cheap maintenence! Easy to Accessorize! price is so much cheaper than a hummer, land rover, and toyota as well! great on icy roads(just put it 4high)

Weakness:

Fuel mileage, soft top leaks in drive through car wash some times, wind will determin how you drive some times!

I love this jeep, I have had it since 2003! I had always wanted a jeep but I have always been told they are impracticle and unreliable THAT ISNT TRUE! I drive my jeep every day, and I also off road it! It will run 75-80 mph with ease! it is a X series 6cyl auto w/ soft top. it may not get the greatest gas mileage (14mg), but it is so fun to drive I forget the cost of gas. it is very low maintenence, just change the oil regularly and it will live for ever.

Dont get me wrong jeep wranglers are not for the person who wants a luxurious, soft, good gas mileage, highty tighty kinda SUV! That is why I gave it 4 stars.

They are for the going to the lake, go moutain climbing, woodsy, fresh air kinda person!

My main regret about buying it is where I got it I would never buy from Texas cleburne dodge again. when I bought the jeep it was not cleaned, it was out of gas(literally it almost died it was so low), and they promised me a spare tire cover and it took them 2 months to get the wrong color, when I brought it to them to have it cleaned he put me in a freshly traded in piece of crap, dirty, old buick la sabre that once again was completely out of gas!!

Strength:

Handsome, strong personality, power, open air freedom, 4x4 winter/summer vehicle at high end sedan costs.

Weakness:

GAS MILEAGE, cargo space, wind noise

The Wrangler is a fun machine! It's difficult to explain why the logical side of your brain seems to malfunction when you compare being practical and diving head first into your childhood desire. This car makes your everyday routine feel adventureous and I have to say that the gas mileage is on the bottom of my list. People who ask me why I continue to pursue Jeeps when gas is not cheap- it's quite simple really- I'm addicted!! I have 106,500 miles on my "furious four" cylinder, and the engine wants to keep on cranking. Granted, the 4s aren't has powerful or reliable as the 6, but it will move under the right conditions. I'm looking ahead now to the 2006 model before Jeep decides to pull the 4.0L engine. We'll see. My fiancee has mixed feelings about it... to any other owners out there- they just know why they choose Jeep.

Strength:

power, roomy for a jeep, will climb anything!!

Weakness:

noisy tranny, very heavy hardtoplockers disengage when key is turned off.

The jeep has almost 12k on the clock and it has been a blast. It is incredible off-road, and rides great on the black top. I am glad I went with the unlimited, because of the extra cargo room, not to mention the better ride that comes with a longer wheelbase. The road noise is to be expected but with the premium sound system it is a little more bearable. My only complaint is the tranny is alittle noisy in third and fourth gear. I would probably attribut that to a lack of sound deadening, but again it is a JEEP!! The top is fairly easy to stow, and the sunrider option is great when you don't want to go completly topless. I have literally climbed a tree with this thing until two wheels where hanging, and it still wanted to climb!! the lockers work great, but I dont like that thy disconnect when you turn off the jeep.

look and the name

Weakness:

Does not accelerate Performance on the highway Gas addiction No cargo capacity or roof racks Rusts like crazy Expensive and constant maintenance Price The new interior is more like Japanese cars than Jeep.

High time for the company to stop relying on customer loyalty and acctually make a good product worthy of the name Jeep! I had driven the older 1960's Jeeps as a teenager and loved the look and feel of those vehicles. That;s why I bought my Jeep. Sadly the newer ones are nothing like the old Jeeps. Very expensive to maintain (I have had the truck for 18 months so far and have spend around 3000 on change of everything from brakes to radiators, pumps,... and I have not done a kilometer of off-roading even yet!) , poor performance, absolutely no cargo or storage capacity and not to mentione the unbelivable appetite for gas! We like to think as Jeeps as an outdoorsy type of vehicle, but try carrying a canoe on your Wrangler! Chrysler has messed up the Jeep and the newer models (1997+) don even have that Jeep feel about the inside.

Awesome year round..great in the snow...great with top down. Looks great (mines red) love driving it!

Weakness:

The stereo does kind of suck, i am looking into getting a new one. Gas mileage of course but so does everything else bigger than a sedan.. what do you want it a 4x4. I knew that before i bought it.

I have had my wrangler since october, but fell in love with my girlfriends first. I used it though the winter, and of course it kicked ass. I can't wait till summer with the top down. I recently got in an accident and i know this is bitter sweet but it kicked the other cars butt. Noone was hurt thank God but i only had a little bend in my front bumber. The other car which i unfortunately hit was totally smashed (i hit the driver side....both doors were totally smashed in and were not able to be opened. It was at about 35 mph. The whole thing sucked, but i was really happy that the jeep stood it's ground.. It's like driving a tank!!!!

Engine, Looks

Weakness:

Top wears out to fast.

These are very tough vehicles. They are rough riding and noisy but if your like me that what you'd expect. For the most part they are very dependable. I've had mine for about two and a half years and I've ran into a couple problems. First, the canvas tops aren't made to last more than four or five years, unless you never put it down (what's the good in that). I've had to replace my top and they aren't cheap. If you keep for a few year you'll have to replace your too. Make sure you check that out when looking to buy. Secondly, my exhaust manifold has cracked and according to the mechanic that's one of the things that happens to jeeps. A little over $500 later and I'm Jeep'n again. All that said and I still have to say that I've been very pleased with my Jeep. It'll go about anywhere and they are fun to drive. Yes, their bumpy. Yes, their loud. I don't really care. There awsome in the summer and they'll track pretty good in the snow.
