Strength:

love how it looks! Comfy to drive and love the way it drives

Weakness:

dont really have any. Take the tape player out

I love my Murano!!! Eventhough i didnt buy it new it is like brand new anyway. It only has 36,000 miles and so far it is great. I love this vehicle so much. I think it is very pretty and very comfortable to drive. I bought out my friends lease and she loved the murano as much as i do when she had it before me. She never had any problems with it. And only needed to bring it in for routine things such as oil changes and rotating tires.

No weakness to speak of, unless you consider the not so fine people at the Nissan dealership in Tuscaloosa, AL. I've since moved from the area, but they 'lost' my car while it was there to be services and since my car was 'lost' they had not completed any tasks requested for my car. When the handed me the keys and told me the car had to be on their lot somewhere--go find it, as you can imagine, I was just a bit upset. Townsend Nissan has great sales personel, but the service department PLEADS for help!!

My Murano has been an excellent purchase!! I am thrilled with the design and performance. I had a recall that was completed by the Nissan corp and I was fully taken care of by the service department. I too had squeky brakes-so we replaced them with new ones. I've had my Murano for close the 2 years and with 70,000 miles it's still going strong. I run the car every day, on long business trips and local running around, and I have never had the car act up in any manner. I love my Murano. If I should ever get a new car, more likely than not, it will be a Murano!

Strength:

comfortable to drive
pedal elevates to accommodate us shorties

Weakness:

poorly made
large blind spot
interior is damaged very easily
exterior paint scratches very easily

My 2004 Murano has been recalled 3 times. The last time, a part was placed under the car to protect the gas tank. It hangs down too low and thus has already been hit and cracked. We were expected to pay for replacing this "additional" part.

Currently my Murano 38,450 miles on it. A few days ago it started leaking antifreeze. I was told a fan stopped working causing the radiator to overheat. So now I need a new radiator and fan. I realize that my milage is 2450 miles over the warranty limit, but my husband and I have owned 4 Nissans (plus my sister, Mom and Grandfather own one or more). Nissan has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars by passing up the opportunity to do the right thing for a very loyal customer by paying for part of the DEFECT. This type of thing should NOT happen with a high end car; obviously the Murano isn't high end. We had planned to purchase a new Quest next year, we will look elsewhere now. I am really so disappointed in Nissan and this product.

Skweeky breaks ,Faulty fuel system. Very dangerous if it stops on the middle of the highway with out any warning.

I initial liked my Murano it rides smooth and we were very proud of it. Recently we made a trip to North Carolina
on our way back from our Easter break the vehicle suddenly stopped on the middle of the highway with out any warning. We were shicked to see it stop we luckly by Gods grace we are alive to tell every one this story. we would have been hit by a speeding truck behind us. Since we were driving at around 55 MPH we were able to pull just in time to the Shoulder and we had to push it to the shoulder in order to avoid other cars from hittinf us. To cust the stroy short we had to wait for nearly 3 hrs since nissan refused to give us a tow to the near by dealer. we paid from our pocket to towit to the nearest dealer. After the dealer examined the vehicle he said it was a faulty fuel pump which did not supply any fuel to the engine. Very scary. if any one has a similar concern please email me so I can help. Or if you own a new murano get a good lawyer.

Great Engine and transmission combo
loads of features including HID headlamps and NAV system.

Weakness:

Premium fuel if you want good gas mileage
No iPOD input
Stiff ride on rough road surface

Great vehicle, I love my Murano. It is just fun to own and drive. Excellent visibiity and almost perfect driving position for all drivers. my self and my wife drive this car so memory seats are a plus. The 3.5 V6 is enough power to have fun in local or highway traffic. I was not shure if I would like driving this type of vehicle on a daily basis having always drove sedans, but the Murano make the transition very easy. Sitting a little higher than I am used to but it feels normal. I drove other SUV's before buying this one and I am very happy with my decission.

Driver,s sun visor, Bose cd player

I love this car, especially the roar of the engine and its power, love the heated seats, and excellent alround vision.Love the look and all the chrome accessories internally and most of all the huge chrome grill on front of car.Looks mean and awesome, especially in the rear view mirror of the car in front.
Dissapointed with the Bose CD player , very jumpy discs when engine is cold, after car warms up approx 20 mins, then brilliant system and sound. Another little niggle is the driver,s sunvisor does not stay clear of the window when in use, hangs down too low due to it being quite heavy. My husband finds the seats uncomfortable on a long journey, they give him buttock ache .

The right side blind spot and the squeaking brakes.

I have been in love with the Murano since they came out. My husband surprised me and traded in my Altima for one. It was a match made in heaven until about the 2 month mark and the weather got cold and my brakes started to squeak. I have had neighbors complain about how loud they squeak when I back up. I took the car into the dealer twice and they replace the pad s once and then told me it was a defect from the manufacturer. I am pissed. I was planning to stay in this car and upgrade to a newer one when the new style comes out. I won't if they can't get this brake thing right.

HORRIBLE. I've called Nissan numerous times and had it in for service on several occasions. The brakes screech so long when i reverse and my brake pedal makes a noise when i step on it. I was told that this is happening with some of the vehicles and they dont know why. I told them it started right when i drove off the lot. Nissan has not been helpful at all. This is my first and last Nissan. They have been informed that if I should have an accident they will be held accountable. I'm still waiting to hear back for Nissan.
