Strength:

Great power!
good off road ability. Awsome looks. It has more room in the back for adults and kids. Great locking diff

Weakness:

It has a slight tapping noise in cold starts but mobile 1 helped that. Leaf spring rattles over bumps some driveline clunk. But since I was a technician for cheverolet fo 6 years I know that is normal and it does not bother me.

I paid 29000 for my loaded z71 and i am very happy with it and I will alwasys recomened a chevy over any thing else

Ive rode in 1999 fords and did not like the ugly interior, the looks and the feel. The ford 350 diesel my friend bought has less ground clearance than mine and does not come with a locking diff. I have driven dodge and only can see cheap quality dodge is different the trannys have problems. But what I have read is that its plain luck One day everyone seems to buy a lemon.

Model Reviewed: 4x4 w/ 454

Strength:

Strong, big, heavey, fast, and smart, it has a 454 and I have done some modifications but they all helped for the better. It rides so smooth with such big tires on it and has low noise reduction inside of the cab and it pulls like nothing is behind it and it is comfortable and vary pretty.

Weakness:

It is on it's third transmition and there is a rattle comming from the right passanger vent that I just can not find and I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to find that it may just be a lose screw. They are beautiful trucks but when something goes wrong I just wish it didn't coast so damn much to repair them, because when you buy a chevy they are already way overpriced.

I will from now on always drive chevrolet trucks because they are strong and dependable, and I would recemend the new heavey duty trucks because I test drove the new big block and I really liked it too. But I will never get ride of my 454 for any reason, I just wanted to say that chevy's are the greatest and I will always own one.

Model Reviewed: Silverado ext cab Z71

Strength:

It has tons of power, roomy, good on gas, comfortable seats.

Weakness:

Price, Z71 makes it a bit stiff, sits to low, stuffing a nice stereo system in it was a hard because the rear seat doesnt fold down, my dash rattles, most expensive and hardest truck to lift.

Overal a good truck, A bit on the expensive side. I should have kept the 96, I did'nt get much better of a truck, but I sure paid for one.

Strength:

LOTS OF POWER. DESCENT GAS MILAGE. ROOMY.

Weakness:

BOUGHT IN JAN.2000 BACK TO DEALER FIRST WEEK FOR PULLING RIGHT. AFTER THE DEALER WAS FINISHED,FOR THE FOURTH TIME.I NOTICED A CLICKING NOISE, SOUNDED LIKE AN EXHAUST LEAK. BE ADVISED I THINK SERVICE DEPT.CREATE MORE PROBLEMS THAN THEY FIX. GOOD TRUCK TILL THEY STARTED WORKING ON IT. FINALLY HAVE IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS, BUT WITH NO HELP FROM THE GM SERVICE DEPT.

have read all previous reviews. chevy produces good trucks, they sell many, so somebody is going to get a lemon. 2001 models are supposed to have the kinks work out so i might trade.

Design..All the electronic advantages..Ride,comfort,ease of controls..Just plain excelent.New transmission,Leather heated seats, rule...IMO...

Weakness:

Price.

I think GM has finnally got with the program. They have applied some of the Japanese manufactures designs to this unit in an American way that seems to work very well..

If you want a Jeep type truck,Go and buy my trade in..If you want a truck for paved roads, ice, snow, comfort and the sometimes dirt road..The GM truck is for you..
