Strength:

V6 has a lot of get up and go.

Weakness:

Small for a family with older children.

Good mid-sized truck, but a little small for the family and the kids friends. 16yr old and 8 yr old. Goes great, no major problems.

Quality in the long run.

Original owner. I''ve had two recalls and the motor block replaced. Also a set of tires within the first year. Now working on air conditioning system. Just replaced the "evaporator" at a cost of over $700 and it is in the shop today as it was not fixed properly. I don''t feel that a vehicle with 46,000 miles should have been through that much. It is Toyota, for me, from now on. I hope it is not falling apart on me.

Weakness:

Transmission/Clutch. Has made a cluncking noise since day 1. took truck in the first time because of the noise and an oil leak at the timing cover. Was told noise was normal and told to was the oil off. Called Chrysler...WHAT A JOKE!!! Ended up filing a claim with the BBB. Lol the dealer called the next day wanting to fix it.

Had this truck almost a month. I love the truck over all. It has the 2.5, with a 5 spd. Truck already had a hard bed cover and a mat in the bed when i bought it. The truck had 12571 miles on it when i bought it.

Low end power.

Weakness:

Gas mileage. (15-16mpg) Idle problem. Suspension a little soft.

Great low end power. Sounds good even with stock exhaust. Love the styling. Seems to run out of power on the top end. I have had problems with a rough idle. Occasionally, after being parked the transmission acts up. Acts like the torque converter is not engaging properly.

Strength:

Strong body design. Fair Gas Mileage. Powerful enough for my needs.

Weakness:

Very few repairs. Cost effective.

I have the regular, 2 door, "no extras" original model of this wonderful truck. I did a lot of shopping around and am very please that this truck has lasted 15 years and done it''s share of hauling and transporting. I highly recommend this product to all I talk to. I only wish they had made a 4 door model back in 1987. When I tell people how "old" my truck is they can''t believe it.

Strength:

158,000 miles and still gets 21 mpg on the highway. Plenty of power when needed, plenty of room in the cab and always ready to go.

Weakness:

Poor choice of radiator from factory

158,000 miles - 3.9 Magnum V6, Power Everything and a club cab. Previous owner had this vehicle from day one and no major repairs. General maintenance was all that was ever done to this truck. The only problem I have had is replacing the radiator and water pump at 147,000 miles because of the plastic radiator top had pulled away from the metal tabs. Other than that, this has been the most dependable truck I''ve ever owned. Even towed a car on a 4 wheel car trailer for 500 miles without any problems.

Powerful/roomy/comfortable/looks great!

Weakness:

gas mileage

I love this truck. I get so many looks. It''s roomy, comfortable, powerful and fun to drive. I have the Infinity sound- you need this. Gas mileage could be better, but I won''t complain. Hard to get. I had to shop around to find a black one with the options I wanted (V8-computer overhead, infinity sound).
