Strength:

Styling, power and comfort. Not necessarily in that order. The truck runs strong and sounds great since I added a Flow Master and K&N Gen. II FIPK.
Great truck, would definately recommend.

Weakness:

PAINT!! I have a black SLT and the chrome trim is holding up great (looks sharp) but the clear coat is starting to peal away in several places on the hood, roof and doors.
Gas Milage hurts the wallet, but thats my fault for choosing a truck as a commuter vehicle.

Reading all these articles kinda' makes me nervous but my truck has run flawless from day one and I drive this truck like its a little sports car and it takes every bit of abuse I put it through and still asks for more.
Yes I recommend it, but I also recommend to the fellas' painting these trucks to get a clue!!!

Strength:

Looks good

Weakness:

Transmission had to be rebuilt at about 50k. Engine suffers from pre-ignition (pinging) at lower RPM, so it must be driven like a race car to keep this from occuring.

These guys have serious transmission and detonation problems, neither of which they will admit(to me anyway). They look you straight in the eye and act like you are the only one to have experienced these problems. The pinging will probably cut my engine life in half. I wouldn't recommend one until they get these problems fixed. It is evident from other reviews that the pinging problem has not gone away, even on '99 & 2k models. For 20k+, you shouldn't have to deal with these issues. I would appreciate any input on the pinging at samdogger_2000@yahoo.com

Just rides like a truck. It should

Yes! because unlike ford and GM truck they last longer and if you get a good one you won't wear it out. The last Dodge I had was '87 modle with a 318 engine and I put up to 208,000 miles with out any problems. Wish I never sold it.

And from what I here. these new chevy/gmc truck. they go up to 37,000 miles and fuk you in the a$$!!!

Strength:

Solid truck, outstanding tow capacity and will kick the butt of any car on the road in an accident situation. Love that 5.9 liter motor!

Weakness:

gas gobbler

I recommend it. Sold my 3 Series BMW to get this truck and don't regret it one minute. The truck is actually more comfortable! With a topper on the bed, I damn near have a poor mans suburban! :)

Love my truck, (even if it is the wif's!)

Model Reviewed: Ram Quad SLT (360 cid) 139wb

Strength:

The truck has more than enough power with the 360. The truck looks sharp by apperance.

Weakness:

I have had the truck for a little over a month. I noticed a valve clanging at about 600mi. the engine is now knocking! I only have 1200 miles on the truck. The fuel consumption is terrible I am getting an adv. of 9.8 mpg according to the trip computer. I haven't talked to the dealer but I plan I plan on it.

I would recommend the Ram but I haven't had the truck long enough for a conclusive review though.

Strength:

The truck is very well built and the body styling is very sharp. The V6 engine has plenty of torque and the overdrive feature on the transmission is very good on the highway for gas mileage. Overall this truck blows away Chevrolets and Fords hands down in styling, performance and reliablity.

Weakness:

The paint on the bed scratches very easily. My truck is Patriot Blue
and within a week of purchase the bed was already scratched after only carrying a few bags of groceries in it, Well the bedliner solved that problem!!!!! Other than that this truck has no real weaknesses.

I paid $18,000 for this vehicle which I consider a fair price for the amount of truck I got. Yes overall I would reccomend this truck to anyone who is in the market for a new truck.

Strength:

Power and performance. Very tight steering, excellent towing truck and great in the snow and off road.

Weakness:

Paint seems to scratch or chip easily in the bed. Solved with spray in liner.

I am very happy with this truck. I owned a Dakota before this one, and was impressed with the toughness. The Ram has tons of power, and is also very comfortable on the inside. I tested Ford and Chevy before buying Dodge, and I didn't have to think very hard before buying Dodge. I would recommend this truck to anyone. The 360 engine is excellent, just hard on gas.

Model Reviewed: Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 w/ 5.9 360 Q/C

Strength:

Love everything except 2 things. 1.) Engine which pings unless I use 92 octain or above. Also 2.) the transmission bangs into reverse when warmed up. I have gone through the arbatration process and got nothing out of it. I have installed a Jacobs ignition system which ups the power tremedously but will still ping under acceleation. Finally the cataletic Converter went out and once replaced the pinging stopped completely. After about 200 miles it started pinging again. I feel that the truck is simply being choocked out due to its exaust system. Mine seems to only ping on the drivers side, which is where the exaust tubing is longer to come into the converter. Its simply restricting the exaust gasses from exiting the combustion chamber. When this thing is out of warranty I am running Dual performance Borla Mufflers with gutted out cats.

Weakness:

Pining, Trans baning into reverse

i paid $31,000 with everey avalable option except leather. I would reccomend this truck where looks is a must, but quality can be sacrificed. However if Chrysler could fix their eng/trans probs I would give them a 5 star

Bought used in 99 and within one year have replaced serpintine belt and now fule pump (thank God for buying the extended warrenty). Any more problems I Am getting ride of it. Too early for problems.

Too early in the game for problems. I predict this vehicle being VERY costly. Especially when I owned a Nissan Sentra.
