Ram 1500 Quad 4x4
Strength:
The The factory suspension. Roomy interior. PLenty of power from the 5.2. 4x4 system. I opted for the vinyl floor for easy cleanup after hunting and fishing trips. Best thing I ever did, especially with a yellow lab that sheds every where. I am getting 15 mpg city and 17 hwy. I was pretty suprised. The mirrors are huge. Plenty big enough to see around a boat or a camper.
Weakness:
The only problem I have had is that the truck pulls to the left if the road has a descent crown. I brought it in to have the alignment checked, and the dealership said that "this is the way the truck drives". It seems to be getting worse, and I am going to bring it back in. So far, it is a great truck. Plenty of room in front, but a little tight in the back seat. Plenty of haul/ tow power. I have had it off road many times and it has handled excellent. The seating position in the front seats are very comfortable, especialy on long trips. All in all, I like the truck alot. I would recommend this truck. Lastly, it's all over the road with a 10mph crosswind!I haven't had this truck long, but know I will never buy another Drudge. Ford f150 looks like s$#@, and is the size of a compact truck since the design change, but looks aren't everything!DO YOURSELF A FAVOR----DON'T BUY A DODGE!!!!!!!!!!! 1500SLT 4X4 5.9
Strength:
Looks, comfort, overall reliability.
Weakness:
Automatic transmission, cup holder, blocked view from front roof pillars. I bought the truck used with 28,000 miles on it. At about 50,000 mi. the transmission went out and was rebuit by the dealer. Driving home from the dealer it went out again. They put in a new tranny and so far so good. The fuel pump went out shortly after that.I definitely recommend the extended warranty just because of the transmission problems. I have 114,000 miles on it at this time and have been very satisfied with it overall. I like the looks of it and still enjoy driving it. Very comfortable for tall people and the ride is excellent for a truck. Does great in the snow with the right tires. Similar Products Used: I also have a '95 Ford F350 that has required so many repairs I can't remember them all, the most uncomfortable truck I've ever had. |

Quad Cab 4x4 Off-Road
Strength:
steering wheel audio controls, 8-way power driver seat, Infinity speakers with CD, room and comfort of the quad cab, ride height, off-road suspension and handling, 360 engine, and looks.
Weakness:
Nothing major. All vehicles have silly little weaknesses here and there. If you know and understand your vehicle, you take care of it, and you know what you are doing while you drive, you'll be satisfied. After exploring all the other trucks out there, I am very happy with the Dodge Ram. The off-road package makes the truck look tough and bad a$$. The upgraded suspension gives your ride height a few more inches over most other trucks and SUV's. It has the same features and capabilities of SUV's and most cars. The power and handling is great. Yes, gas mileage is not the greatest because IT'S A TRUCK!! All trucks suck down gas and so I get ill when hear all the bickering about poor gas mileage. Filling up the tank is a part of the cost of the vehicle. Buy a Neon or a 10 speed bicycle if you can't handle the fact. Similar Products Used: GMC Sierra |

Weakness:
None I am very pleased with the performance and quality of my 1500 reg-cab V6 auto. The V6 is surprisingly responsive and am averaging 15.8 mpg around town. (no trips for hw mpg). Although still relatively new, I have had no problems at all. Interior is roomy and comfortable.
