Strength:

-Great hunting & Off-roading truck! -Ruggedness & Durability -Body Style -Dependability, even w/high mileage

Weakness:

Not Many!!! The gas mileage isn't all that bad either. (Around 15-16) -Gas Mileage

The Dodge Ram is by far the best truck out there! I previously drove a Chevy, and there is just no comparison. The turning radius rocks. My truck has over 200,000 miles on it and is still goin' Ram tough.

Strength:

Great fuel mileage. Can get 20 on the highway if I keep it below 70. 4x4 has never had any work done to it. never kicked out either. Pulled a 20000 pound load over a 6% 1 mile grade, and hit the top doing 60. and still averaged 13 mpg on that trip. will fire up with ease at 5 below. never have had it gel. sounds awesome with 4 inch straight pipes. chicks dig it.

Weakness:

body panels are flimsy. oh darn!!!

Greatest pickup I have ever owned, or probably will ever own. 125000 miles, and still sits at idle with about 50 psi oil pressure. Cummins is the best. I have put little to nothing into this pickup. I use this pickup like it outta be used. Mechanic says he loves to see me coming. (tires, shocks, brakes) nothing thats out of the realm of a truck that has been absolutely abused. Will only say one bad thing. Body sucks.

chevy pickups (cv joints aren't meant to go in a pickup) sucked. ford pickups, if they would put a cummins in their pickups, I would consider buying another.

Strength:

engine, tranny, the strips i leave, it kicks. its one bad ram

Weakness:

none except the transfer case feels a little funny

By far the best vehicle we have ever owned. The 5.9 liter V8 is a 360, it came with a complete flowmaster exhaust from the headers back, and i put a cold air intae on it and a set of aftermarket heads, the 360 heads are trash, the new heads gave me a 110hp gain and this truck is amazing, i smoke new hemi's and i have no problem smoking the tires to oblivion. the sales person at advantage auto was very nice, and even though im not sure if the transfer case works, im too lazy to check it. i love this truck and im glad i got it, every day when i slam the throttle to the floor at 25 mph i love the feeling of the rearend sliding all over as i leave a long blue cloud of american muscle produced tire smoke.it kicks ass and the stock trany hold that power with flying colors. and the limited slip diff. in the rear is awsome, nothing but posi!!

Model Reviewed: Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4

Strength:

Cummins, suspension is way more advanced than competition ie. coil springs

Weakness:

Transmision. WHEN YOU REBUILD USE PERFORMANCE PARTS ie. valve body, torque converter, clutch packs, pressure lock. If you choose not to then DON'T COMPLAIN!

The truck is worth buying for the engine. GM and Ford have nothing on cummins. I have over 300hp and 300000kms. Only complaint is transmision, I rebuilt mine and no problems since.

nice paint.

Weakness:

just about everything with the truck.

I will admit the truck is for the most part machanically sound, other than small issure with the way the transmission shifts, and the dealership that would make the adjustments. After only 24000 miles the shocks have worn out, and it being a gas hog with the v6, with very little power. The dodge truck seems to not have any real after market resale value,if I had any idea that I was to be stuck with a white elephant, there would have been no way I would have bought the truck, I have learned my lesson well, from now on it will be a ford or chevy for me.

Strength:

Torque, off raod capabilities, good ride, and drive. Dodge did not give to much ride and take away from handling. What a great job. True 4x4 and straight front axle!!

Weakness:

Gas hog, refinment. It looks like a mans toy and not teenage girls cock pit.

This is a great truck with awsome off road capabilities. I have the off road package with posi track. The handeling is exceptional for a 7200# GVW and the taller off road package. I have drove this truck in the desert, in Florida's "best to offer swamp", and the the great smokey mountains with ease, and comfort knowing I would not be "Found On Road Dead"!!! I enjoyed passing fords and chevy's in the mountains they just could not handle the 5.9. I can only imagine this with a Hemi.Never the less Dodge is my preference by far and urge other truck companies to get off of their tells or be left sitting on them. If you have the 17" whells I can promise that the BF Goodrich AT's are the best tire for the truck. It is hard to find a good truck tire in the 17's unless you want a lo-pro tire.
