I am writing this letter to inform you of the terrible customer service your company is providing. I bought a new 2002 Dodge Ram 4x4 last January. It currently is less than two years old and has less than 23,000 miles. The truck has had three safety recalls and a steering gear is having to be replaced. Yet none of those problems are what I am upset about. What is upsetting is that I am being forced to pay for a rental car while all this is repaired. I know in your basic warranty that it says rental service is not covered. However I think certain exceptions should be made. For one, the recall issues should be completely your company's responsibility and you should do everything possible to make it as pleasant as possible to have them repaired. That does not mean offerring a ride to my house while it is being fixed. I work and go to school and a vehicle is important for me to get to both. The second issue is that I am now being forced to pay for a rental car while the replacement steering gear is shipped. I was told it would take 4-5 days to get here. The least you could do is have the part overnighted. I will admit that the dealership said I could take my truck but I would have to sign a waiver that if the problem became worse Dodge would not pay for any of the repair. So basically I have to spend $30/day waiting on a part to arrive. They say that word of mouth is the best form of advertising and I am letting you know that this letter (and any reply) is being posted to every consumer review board I can find on the internet. I am also forwarding it to every contact I have in my address book and asking them to do the same. Hopefully this will save someone the headache I have been put through and maybe get you to look at your warranty policy and rethink some of the terms. Sincerely, Billy Spencer

Comfort, style, price, dependability, performance, warranty, handleing.

Weakness:

squeaky suspension, have not had it looked at yet. May just lube bushings.

I love my Ram! I have the 4.7 liter engine and the quad cab SLT. The ride and quietness is what sold me. I have 20000 miles an it with only one small gripe, I do hear a little rattle in the front end on bumpy roads, but I am also extremely picky and someone else might not even notice it. The power with the small V-8 is adequate to pull my tractor and boat with no complaining but if I did it daily I would opt for the Cummins diesel. There is NO cab noise at all and is a wonderful way to travel, I recieve compliments on the looks constantly. Great truck!

Super engine 350 Horses. Very comfortable. Handles Great.

Weakness:

Gass mileage averages 15, but who cares.

This truck is a monster. If you want a play thing that goes extremely fast and can drive from the back seat, because if you put your foot into it, that's where you'll be. This is the truck for you! In addition I can't say enough about the sales, service, and management staff at Moss. They are in buisness for the consumer. You don't have to worry about high pressure or getting ripped off. These are truely wonderful people.

Weakness:

suspension, ac, wind noise,

Truck looks nice, has ok power, and is roomy. Seats are no good, feels like I am sitting in a hole. Dealer replaced cushion but it did not make a difference. A lot of wind noise from doors, ac doen't blow very hard. The front end suspension has a clunk over low speed bumps, felt in floor and heard, dealer couldn't reproduce, of course. I took the truck to a front end shop and was told it was the tie rods. The service manager at the dealership told me the guy didn't know what he was talking about. Then the dealer mechanic looked at it and said, of course, tie rods. But he said only passenger side was bad even though the clunk is felt on both sides. The front end seems very loose. And of course the gas mileage is awful.

Strength:

The ram has a strong engine and comfortable interior.

Weakness:

Weak fuel milage and expensive repairs

I love my Ram. I got afour wheel drive with the off road package and the 5.9L V-8. I was driving in 2 feet of snow earlier this year with no problem. I was one of the only vehicles on the road. The power is good but like everyone else says fuel milage sucks. I have the short wheel base with 4x4 and it gives such a powerful look to the truck. It almost looks menacing when you see it.If you get a four wheel drive then buy the steps to help you get in.

Runs very good lots of guts. I have had a few dealer recalls but that's about it. I love the cab comfort and room. Good sound with my infinity radio. It's the SLT plus so I am spoiled. The only drawback is the gas milage. I have a 5.9 with an automatic trans. I will get 15 on the road but not much more then 11.6 around town. I have 18000 miles on it without any major problems. Same tires same brakes.

Weakness:

gas milage really,really sucks

I am very disappointed with the fact that my truck will not get any better then 11.8 miles to a gallon of gas. It has a 5.9 gas engine with an automatic transmission and 3.55 drive gears in the differentials this is geared quite a bit higher then my truck that i treaded in it also had a 5.9 gas engine but it had a 5 speed manule transmission with 4.10 gears in the drive axels it was a 4x4 also. At 60 mph the engine speed was about 2200 RPM and got 14 miles to a gallon this truck at 60 MPH engine speed is 1500 RPM and will not get any better then 11.8 miles to a gallon of gas. I excepted to get around 15 mile to gallon the truck checks out as every thing is with in the specs. The dealer that sold the truck called Chrysler at Detroit they said that is in the spec for fule milage THAT SUCKS I will not buy another chrysler product because of this i have owned including this truck 4 dodge trucks and will not own another also we have driven chrysler mini vans the last three mini vans but no more when we get rid of this one it will be for some other make.

Strength:

Plenty of power to pull heavy loads, good fuel mileage when pulling heavy loads. Good romm inside. Good ride for a heavy duty vehicle.

Weakness:

Torbo diesel repairs very expensive. No problems until vehicle is out of warranty.

Purchased used Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel to pull 8K trailer. 5.9 gasoline engine could not handle the weight of the trailer. Very excited about how the Turbo Diesel pulls and handles the weight of my heavy cargo trailer. Love the truck, the amount of room, fuel mileage while pulling and when driving empty. Yhe biggest issue I have with the Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel is the cost of repairs. My dodge has 87K miles and I have had several problems. My dodge was one month out of warranty and the rear main started leaking oil. I called Chyrsler and they made a good faith repair. At 87K miles the fuel injection pump has gone bad and the cost will be 3K plus to make the repair.

Strength:

Hemi power. Handling. Smooth ride. Brakes. Looks. 20 inch wheels. Console is great. Cup holders. Stock stereo is good.

Weakness:

Electronic throttle delay. Seats not as comfortable as my 98 Dodge.

This is one of the best vehicles I have ever driven. No initial problems after 3 months. Hemi engine is great. Getting 12-13 mpg with a load. My old 5.2l Ram only got 11 mpg. Buying experience at Jasper Jeep in GA was awesome. They even saved me another $800 in finance charges over Peoples first. Paid around invoice. Vehicle has a solid quality feel that I have never had in an American built vehicle before.
