Strength:

SQ

Weakness:

poorly constructed

Good for someone who like SQ, but not good for someone like me who likes bass. I would have to say this sub looks mean, but will not perform like it looks. Will barely take 350 watts rms, which I put to it. The negative wire melted right off and the cone got separated from the voice coil. Crappy workmanship

Strength:

Take whatever you give them and ask for more. Even if it''s a little they still sound very good (the high SPL). Very clean, very tight, very acurate.

Weakness:

They weigh a whole lot, if you race make sure you can remove them. Adds at least 100lbs with all the crap that goes with them. Oh and no trunk space left after making a box the required size.

These subs will knock your balls off if you''re not careful. I have 2 in a downfiring sealed box. Run by a 1000.1D Rockford amp. They take all the power and don''t distort whatsoever, I''m dumbfounded. They seriously kick ass, I might have to invest in plexiglass.

Fosgate HX2, overrated. I haven''t heard a clearer or tighter sub yet. And espaecially not one with this high of an SPL.

CLEAR CLEAR CLEAR Very nice lookin

Weakness:

factory defect in about 1 in 50

I have two of these 12.1''s in a 2.1 cubic foot sealed box. I am running a rockford fosgate 500.2 bridged to 2 ohms and it is peaking out at 1640 watts. (Rockford very much so under rates their amps) they hit extremely hard. No distortion and exremely accurate bass. The only downfall to these subs is that every 1 or 2 in about 50 a store sells will have a factory defect in which the cone starts to separate from the spider.(not a problem with the warranty). I would say that you could run more power than the 350 RMS they say but be careful...they are not a hard core SPL sub. If you are lookin for a very nice sounding and very loud sub that will do anything the average person wants, then this is the sub for you. If you are a fool who runs 600 RMS on the first day and ruuns em hard then you will be dissappointed.

Alpine Type R''s. They hit hard and clear for the price but i cooked one runnin the same amp that i am now and they distort at really high volumes. Type R''s are however a very good sub for about 200

Strength:

Low low low, the best SPL I''ve heard.

Weakness:

Cheap glue...nothing a strong epoxy won''t fix.

I purchased my 12" perfect off Ikesound.com for $154. This seemed to be a good price, seeing Crutchfield wanted $300! I can''t help but wonder though if Ikesound got a factory liquidation of the defective Kappa. As I''ve been reading the reviews, I see that I am not the only one who blew their Perfect. I was fine, running just one 12" Perfect connected to my Kenwood eXcelon KAC-x401M, supplied by a Lightning Strike 1 farad cap. Running only about 300 watts, this thing was awesome. Hit lower than anything I''ve heard before. This sub has SPL, very rich and sooo low. But...I decided to hook it up to a 1800 watt (or so it claims...it''s no 1800 watts) Power acoustik amp. It proceded to seperate my voice coil from the pole piece. I do blame Infinity for the cheap adhesive, but I also blame the cheap amp...powerful but no infrasonic filter and only a low-pass filter. Not a very clean signal for a sub that only hits 150hz at best. And to all you who have sent your blown sub to Infinity; If you don''t want to wait 2 months, go to Home Depot, and buy a tube of high strength epoxy, and your sub will be like new...actually better.

i dont officially own one of these subs yet mind you its in the mail. but i work at an electronics store and we have these subs on demo. 2 12" in a ported box. We abuse these subs, we play them loud we crank the gain we push them so hard and the only thing falling apart is the room that we have them in. Seriously there are screws falling from the ceiling. We have used ampsfrom Sony to Rockfordand everything in between. And yet we have found no weakness in these subs. We even had a guy come in who bought 2 from us and he was playing them in his car in a sealed box and it sounded great but one day sounded like crap. He realized that the box had come apart in the back from the bass. I highly recomend them if you like hard accurate bass.

Strength:

Loud hard hitting bass with great sound quality.

Weakness:

Not very loud in sealed box. They just sound very good.

this is the best sounding and slammin sub i have ever heard. my friend owns two Jl Audio W6''s and mine smallin harder and sound 10 times better than his. At a comp i hit a 156.9db in a ported MTX box. I hope to get more in the future. Also, i am running these subs of a Rockford Power 800a2. This amp is not even bridged and it slamms these subs like no other.

Strength:

Crisp and clean. no distortion. Does not need a large amp fits and perfroms in very small sealed box (1 cubic ft)

Weakness:

Moderatly pricey(If you don''t have the hook up

Very Very Nice sub. I have it in the trunk of my 96 saturn sl1 running off of a MTX 6152($170) amp bridged delivering 325 watts rms to it. This single sub has fooled many into thinking that I have a least 2 subs in the truck. Mounted is a qlogic sealed box this sub is very clean and fast. Even as the amp peaks 900 watts the sub still doesn''t distort. The aluminuim cone is very ridged and will not warp under the most extreme condintions.

Strength:

high spl, great specs, low frequency, small enclosure, great sound.

Weakness:

None but they''ve been around a while. A lot of other companies are following suite on these style subs with newer and better designs...but you''ll pay for it.

I think these subs are great. They are are a clean, inherently deep hitting sub. Designed with the idea of making great sound rather than loud but are still loud. They are very efficient and do not require the power some people are putting to them. Follow infinities specifications and you cant go wrong. They fit in a small enclosure and dont require you to waste you money of high power amps.
