Strength:
loud, cool looks, great price for quality
Weakness:
pain to mount in the box the wood comes apart because you have to angle the screws I like these subs I have not really experienced with any other subs but these sound good to my ears. I have 2 10 inch perfects and 2 12 inch perfects all 4 ohm powered buy a boss 3000D I am running 750 watts to each sub they sound good. I paid $300 for the amp and it never shuts down or even gets a bit warm. I would recomend these subs, they would really perform well in a custom enclosure. These subs also have a cool look. Strength:
Hits low, hard, and is clean (What more could you want from a sub?)
Weakness:
none that I have encountered After reading the reviews on this site, I can''t believe the number of people who don''t know what rms is... You can''t put the sub at its peak level and expect it to hold up. The Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 is rated at 350 watts RMS! So all of you who hook it up to an 800+ watt amp shouldn''t be suprised at the result. The peak value of 1200 is mearly one hit. It can take a sustained amount (RMS) at 350 watts. So, if you play one tone continuously, you would be able to only at 350 watts. Since music fluxuates, you can get away with a bit more. I am running mine off 2 of the channels bridged of an Orion 800.4 (400 watts) and it sounds much like its name, Perfect. This is a good clean sub. It takes its rated power fine and hits much lower than my friends new high end MTXs and is louder and cleaner than the two of them. Of course, our cars are acoustically different. Anyway, I am very happy with mine and havn''t heard one better. I would say this is the best sub under $500. |

Clear, loud, and have a sheen look
Weakness:
the price is hefty, but judging by the way they sound, I won''t hesitate to buy another one These subwoofers hit hard, they''re practically a perfect combination of SPL competition and sound quality. Right now, they''re being run off of a Rockford Fosgate Power 350S, (brand new amp). these people are complaining that these subs lack quality, but that''s because they are putting way too much watts into them. Thay are recommended for only 350 watts RMS, but they manage to make use of the power, producing remarkable clarity and bass. Similar Products Used: Rockford Fosgate |

Strength:
Beautiful looks, accurate sound, a good amount of power handling.
Weakness:
Only 1 voice coil, but they''ve just created DVC''s I think. Shouldn''t actually break with too much power, since that''s what I''ve heard. Probably poorly built but my Alpine M707 (600 watts max, thats what the box says) is perfect for powering it. I''ve always liked Infinity, and after alot of thinking I decided to go with the 12.1 sub. I don''t see what everyone''s complaining about, mine is getting about 300-400 watts and sounds crystal clear but can pound if I crank it. Nothing has gone wrong and everybody is impressed with it''s SPL. Right now it''s in a box bigger than recommended, because I''ve heard good things about putting them in large boxes. It pounds nicely but doesn''t quite get that accurate sound I''m looking for in this type of box. I couldn''t help it and cranked it loud almost right away, nothing broke or seperated or went wrong, I''m impressed and so is everyone else. it could just be a little better all around. i have purchased 2 10" perfects after reading reviews from this site. i am running these off from fosgate bd500.1 @ 2ohm (300 watts each) i guess i was expecting too much from this sub because almost everyone praised how awesome it performed. still, no doubt about it, it is a great sub, but its not excellent or perfect. the low end is not as clear as i expected. also, SQ didn''t meet my expectations. eventhough i got this sub relatively cheap, i still don''t think its worth $140. for those who are reading other reviews regarding the perfects, don''t get too excited. its an all around "above average" sub. i can''''''''t afford a third one YET the perfect 12 is great sub, i bought 1 and that was not enough i had to buy another . the sound quality is superb, the spl is awesome and noy many people can argue different. when i read reviews from this site i can''''''''t help but laugh out loud when i read bad ones ,some guys buy the sub one day and whack out loud sounds the same day,MOST IF NOT ALL SUBS WILL GET DAMAGED THAT WAY,play the sub at least 1week at low to moderate volumes yah idiot.any one who says these subs are no good are deaf. i am not saying these are the best subs in the world but they are dam near .i have two perfect 12''''''''s in a 2.4 ft3 sealed enclosure and you can''''''''t ask for more bass from to subs. i have found that the sealed box sounds best for this sub ,when i had 1 sub only i tried differant size sealed and one ported box the ported was louder and souded great as it utilizes the pwer better but the low end was not as strong as the sealed.the only subs i can honestly say plays stonger low end would be xtant xseries and audiomobile mass 12''''''''''''''''subs. the infinity sub plays well with the 350 rms recomended but will take 600 rms just listen for distortion.iam running my subs on a ultimate dd1 1200 giving my subs 700rms@2ohms, the subs sound and behave as if they are getting the 1200rms.so inclosing i will recmend this sub to any one who likes there bass clean and low ,but please remember give the sub a chance to work in before you destroy it and write another bad unthruthful review about it.
