Strength:
(ALUM 12) Great Looks...Mega Excursion...DVC...Wonderfull Sound Quality...
Weakness:
Aluminum dents too easily...Doesn't like to fit in standard 12" box(Required some modification)...RMS Power handling not accurate Great sub for the price, I am running a single ALUM 12 with a Power Acoustik Farenheit Q2-1800. The ALUM 12 is not starved for power at all. With the gain on the amp set at 1/2 in bridged mode and the 18db bass boost on the ALUM 12 enjoys smacking the back of the magnet with it's voice coil. But with the bass boost off it sounds great I am still very weary of turning the gain all of the way up. I don't think that will happen until I get a second ALUM 12. With around 500 Watts running to this speaker it runs like a champ. What ever you do DO NOT let your friends touch the cone while it is performing. It dents very easily and the dents do not come out. I recommend this sub highly. I paid $117 for this sub on an open box deal from sound-creations.com (not the best place to shop) I had difficulty with the owner and my order. But when my sub arrived I was very pleased. I would recommend getting Audiobahn subs from audio-n-more.com, This is where I bought the box for my sub. Their service was great, I did not have one problem. Similar Products Used: Crunch, Pioneer, Lanzar(poop), JBL, Orion, Rockford Fosgate, Boston Acoustics, Eclipse, MTX, Sony, Kenwood, Polk Audio |

Weakness:
nothing as of now I paid around $85 for these and they are well worth the money. It is a great sub and you pay for the product and not the name Similar Products Used: Boss 12's in bandpass |

Strength:
Pounds out a lot of bass for a 10 sub. For a price limit that affordable it wipes the floor againts RF or kicker.
Weakness:
Nothing i can think of yet. I had these subs for two months now and ,i am planning on saleing them to anyone who is intrested. My lowest price i will let them go for is $100.00 for both 10's. They can handle 400 watts rms and will still knock with less. Im planning on replacing them with two AWC12D, so if you have any questions or if your intrested in buying these i can be contacted at (281)232-2655: PS: The price is for both 10's thats an absolute bargan. Similar Products Used: RF and kicker although it outdoes these by a mile. |

Strength:
Great Woofer, God SQ, Great SPL. Very very cheap, great Quality.
Weakness:
None I paid $280 for two woofers, and am using a Phoenix Gold ZX350v2 to power them. I don't know what these guys are talking about, the AW1200's have great SQ, you guys may have the woofers in the wrong box. I have about 1 cu. foot and am using I believe High Density Fiber board. Anyways the subs are awesome. I'm only putt'n 200 watts on each one and they still pound. The recommended rating is 700 watt a piece. Good woofer. Similar Products Used: RF 12in XLC's |

Alum-12
Strength:
Hit low and hard and are much cleaner than what I expected. Impressive looks, affordable, audiobahns best sub.
Weakness:
I doubt the 1000w rms rating is true. And im sure the cones will dent if your dumb enough to touch them while theyre playing. I paid $134 each and have been very happy with them. Give them a nice strong amp, youll be dissapointed if you dont give them enough juice. I still believe the Alum-12's are on recall from Audiobahn, for the surrounds peeling away from the cones, so be careful if someone has them for sale. But even though, these subs still bang! Similar Products Used: JL, Crossfire, Fosgate. Out of everything the only subs I would trade for the Alum-12's would be infinity perfects. But for the price audiobahn cant be beat. |

Weakness:
quality/reliability I have 3 alum 12 with the audiobahn a1300hc. In parallel down to one ohm I am delivering 400 rms to each. The subs hit harder and more accurate than any other subs I have owned. May be a little overated a 1000 rms. With the amp and subs combined I had to juice up the electrical system by adding a 160 amp alternator if that tells you how much power is created by the amp. When I ordered the subs one of them had faulty glue connecting the spider to the voice coil former so it went bad in a week. Soon after I replaced that one another started making a noise at high volume when it would sweep at the 20 hz level. The tech said that I must have hit the backplate and bent the voice coil former. Just bad luck I guess but the Mike at www.ultimate-sounds.com was more than helpful to get new subs back to me quickly. I currently ordered the a275hc to power my highs and midrange. I paid around 180 a piece for the alums, 460 for the a1300hc, and 380 for the a275hc. Well worth the money, I would suggest audiobahn to the beginner and novice alike. Strength:
Ive looked at many reviews and looked up alot of subwoofers trying to find the best one and these subs sound like they are the stuff. Ive been planing what ive want for over 5 months.
Weakness:
None Well, im ordering three AWC 10's for my little mitsub. truck and im paying somewhere around $60 bucks a piece so i think thats a pretty good deal for what im getting. (its almost the same as my subwoofers but i bet they hit a whole lot harder.) Ive never heard these speakers before so im just going with my gut and yall audiobahn maniacs so i hope im getting the good stuff. (im sure i am>) Has anyone used the awc 10's before? em me at Dadam687@cs.com and let me know. thanks. and hopefully ill upgrade my amp and get a fat ppi amp or somthing. Ill tell ya how good my stuff is when i get it in. Similar Products Used: Ive had 2 Atomic 10's with the 70oz mags. and they handle somwhere around 250 watts of the supposed 400 (r.m.s.)and those little jokers slammed with only 170 watts pushed to them. Ive had these subwoofers since last september and ive had a lot of compliments but i want more boom! I like bass that hurts that you cant stand to hear! |
