Strength:

Bass hits deep, small box needed, good looking.

Weakness:

Takes a lot of power to bang, but I guess thats not a weekness if you know about systems.

If you want bass, this is the sub to get. I have ONE s12l7 in a sealed box running on a piece of $hit American Pro amp 600 watts. The bass is so deep that the trunk is about to rattle apart. I can't see any other sub beating these. I just order a S15L7 for my other car. Go get this sub.

Strength:

They keep kicking hard no. Awesome new cone material. Not to much space needed if u are using sealed enclosure.

Weakness:

NONE they kick Azz

I am running 2 S12L7 in my 97 dodge avenger ,running a 800a2 rockford amp at 2 ohms 400 per sub it hits like no other sub i have purchased before. The price is resonable for the amount of bass these babies produce and yes the square design of the sub does make a difference.

Strength:

Dont get me wrong they beat, but they beat your wallet before anything~!~!

Weakness:

Blow easy when not babied for 6 months (way 2 long), $$$$, needed box

my friend has 2 square 12's with 550 watts rms to each....oh they fu*kin beat, and as they beat they beat your dick and your wallet at the same time! squares are great expect they blow easy, require a custom built box, needs a lot of power, and cost a sh*t load. hes spent way to much for what he has....so much more could be boughten rather then spending the money on all the sh*t these subs require! whats really a joke is his squares did a spl of 144.2 when someone in the same comp. with 2 kicker compvr's (12's) did 142.4. ask me why 2 12 squares (399 a piece) only out do 2 12 compvr's by something so little? the squares where in a custom built fiberglass box while the comps sat in a basic carpet box! for the money they are a joke.....so if you are dumb and want to throw money away throw it at kicker solo baric squares or if you auctally have a brain find something else!

Strength:

STRONG, STRONGER, and even a little more STRONGER. Solid build. Design and overall looks. Deep bass that can really be felt. A clean, tight bass in the sealed enclosures, people say that the SBs can't be used for sound quality, I beg to differ and my Japanese friend here placed first in a recent sound off in SQ and he uses 2 S10L7's in a sealed fiberglass enclosure.

Weakness:

I haven't found any yet, and hope that I never do. These things have been pounding for about 2 years now and haven't shown any signs of wear or tear.

First off, yes these subs like power, but will hit with not a whole lot of power. I used to have 2 S15C's powered by a 500ss, dropped one of the 15's and had 1 powered off the same amp. Then the L7's came out, I wanted 15's, but they were not made when the L7s first came out. They were about 6 months behind. So I went with the 12's. Got the dual 4ohm models, ran them in series to have the 500ss see a 4ohm mono config. The amp was rated at 850W in this config. It hit hard, much harder than my single 15 SC. My best SPL with the single 15 was a 142.7. Not bad, but I wanted more. I made a box with 1 cuft of airspace for each 12. Then Kicker came out with the specs for slot ported boxes. I wanted to try it out, as from their website, it sounded very promising. Problem though, my 500ss died on me =(. So what was I to do, didn't have the cash for a new amp, wanted the DX1400 (never made). So I didn't get around to making the ported box. I used my same box and powered each sub with a ZR120. This put out by Kicker specs 180W to each sub. They still hit hard, but not as hard as the power was less than half it was. OK, a little money came my way, and I purchased a DX350, with the intentions of buying one more later on and powering one of the new 02S12L7 in a 3.25cuft enclosure. Well I got around to making one enclosure, a 2.5 cuft one and used 1 of the original L7's I had, I made this box, as I plan on selling it to a friend later with one of my 12's. With this box and just one of the DX350's it hit harder than both L7's on the ZR120's. It was pretty close to the level of when the old 500ss was powering both L7s. Well since then I removed the box, got the other DX350 and currently I am using my old sealed dual enclosure and it hits pretty damn good. Shortly I will be building the 3.25 cuft enclosure and powering 1 02S12L7 with each voice connected to a DX350. According to my Kicker birth certificates, my 350's are putting out 391 and 397 watts and a very respectable 112 and 107 noise damping factor. I can't wait until all is completed to see what it will pull in the SPL lane. Before I had heads turning here at one of the local shops. They were all surprised that I had only 1 12.

Strength:

Can handle a lot of power witha good clean sound to them

I have 2 of these subs in a sealed box with a memphis 1000D powering them and all I can say is wow. There was so much bass being produced that I had to turn down the power on the amp just because I could not deal with every hair on my body shaking when the bass hit. But I love these subs and would never give them up.

Strength:

Good low bass

Weakness:

Needs a powerful amp. Probably best to get a 500w+ mono amp. Eats up all my trunk space. My neighbors are mad at me...

This sub rattles the windows on my apartment and others as well. People close their windows and look at me angrily... well, i just pump up the volume even more! My car shakes from everywhere you look at it. The rear view mirrors the windows, heck everything. My friends riding at the back feel like thier getting a massage. Very powerful sub and delivers pounding bass in a 2.5cu ft ported enclosure

Strength:

Loudest sub you''ll ever lay eyes on.

Weakness:

People who write bad reviews because they they know nothing about subs.

This is the best sub In its price range. All bad reviews are from dumb asses who have no money. One twelve would kick ass on anything. Mine kill anything I have ever seen. I''ve been to so many speaker competitions. If you don''t at least run them at their rms then you are and idiot. Make sure there in a ported box.
