MTX Thunder 6000
Strength:
The quality for the price you pay. The deep bass that it pushes out is increadable. I had a Kennwood 600 watt amp, I blew one of my speaksers and Circuit City and MTX replaced them for free. I purchased the mtx 250d amp and got much better sound from the 6000's. I also really like the seperate bass knob so that I can listen to metal, classic and all other types of music
Weakness:
None to date. Definatly! Similar Products Used: Eclipse 10's (usure of the model number), I blew those babys out. I also don't like that eclips is all bass, no clarity. |

Strength:
It looks great
Weakness:
Nothing! I love this sub I purchased this sub to replace my 5000. It is just the model before the 6000. I got it because of the rubber surrounds, the looks and I thought that the bass hits a bit tighter. I think that it may have been the change in cone construction. Anyway I have one 12" in my truck. By no means do I need another. This sub is loud and sounds good. I recomend it to anyone who isnt rich and doesnt want to compete. Probably not a competition winner. I just got these things and they pound harder then a mothaf****r! Loud and clean... just the way i like it. The look on the sub is nice too - its got a nice silver tone to it. Thing is about these woofers is that they can be heard from blocks away!
Weakness:
nothing The prices on them are awsome. i bought mine for like 90 bucks shipped. Crutchfield has em for i think around $100. So if your looking for a way to keep the money u spend to a minimal... the mtx thunder6000's are definitly your choice! Similar Products Used: jl w3's |

Strength:
this sub is loud, hard hitting, and people can hear it from a 1/2 mile away.
Weakness:
i have had no problems with it i paid 200 dollars for each of the 4 12 inch subs. i will recomend this product to anyone who wants to have hard hitting base that you can hear from a long ways away and that will make your car rock. Similar Products Used: jl audio, but that will blow more quickly |

Strength:
looks are superb and high bass that will rattle your eyes
Weakness:
don't do good on low bass response i got the package deal where you get 3 12ohm 10"s in the trapezoid box. i can't remember the style number, but it does it's job very well. they picked up the high bass like there isn't no tomorrow. but when they tried for the low bass, all i could do is laugh. they sucked at low bass, but definately made up for it in high bass. if you are not wanting to go big, but sound loud and good, then these are perfect. Clean, Deep, LOUD, bass. Havn't heard anything I like better yet. ('cept maybe big bro 8000's)
Weakness:
Let me know. Hook one or two of these puppies up with a MTX 250D amp and you'll have something to drool over. Amazing subs. |

I heard 2 of these powered by a Kenwood 75x2 amp and they were great. I think I'll sell my W-0's
Weakness:
I don't own them yet I love the deep clean sound of these speakers and I will probably purchase some soon. Similar Products Used: I like them better than JL W-o's or Memphis. |

Strength:
Long Excursion, good power handling, inexpensive, molded surround, good looks. Versitle box requirements
Weakness:
Not made very well, low sensitivity, more of an SPL sub. I got the Thunder 6000 10 in my Thunderform. The box is 1.1 cubic feet, the MAX sealed enclosure for the T6104. It sounded really good, but only below about 50hz, the MTX would "BOOM" very well, but there was very little response from the sub in the 50 - 80 Hz range. I blame the lack of response on the size of the box, I think a .75 box would have made this sub much more enjoyable. Altering a Thunderform is not so easy so I opted for the Kicker. Similar Products Used: Infinity Kappa 100.1se, Kicker CompVR - The MTX wins the low bass SPL award, but it looses in the frequency response and sound quality department. |

Strength:
These subs hit loud as all hell. I had 3 in a triple box hooked up to a fultron 400 amp. They had mad spl. With only 400 watts going to 3, it was awesome.
Weakness:
One of the subs wiring came out from the back of the sub, but my friend fixed it, other than that, it makes you deaf when you listen to it at loud volumes. These subs are kick a$$, and if you put enough watts to it, buy ear plugs Similar Products Used: I am now using an hx2 in a bandpass, it puts out cleaner bass, but not quite as loud. |
