EVERYTHING!!!!! The price was good, I paid $900 for the year for my 1991 Oldsmobile for full coverage. That was all that was good! I got into a accident where another driver missed a stop sign. It was declared his fault on the scene. My co-worker was driving and since I pay for full coverage you would think it was no problem. WRONG!! Progressive wouldn't give me a straight answer for weeks. I called them daily with no response. I also requested a rental since my full coverage also covered one for up to three weeks. They said "I strongly suggest you don't take one since your premium might go up". They were of no assistance at all during months of fighting. I finally contacted the other drivers insurance which Progressive also strongly suggests you do because the minute you say that they won't do another thing for you. Progressive advertises cheap rates and quick fixes if you go to their auto body shops. WRONG AGAIN. I went to one of there shops and it took two months to fix my car. NEVER AGAIN PROGRESSIVE!!! None yet Progressive is an awesome company and it is sad to see tha not everyone had similiar experience. I was insured under Geico and they were raping me for my 1997 eclipse GXS. They charged me $720 for 6 month coverage and at that time I was 26. So far a year I was paying $1440 for coverage. I finally got feedup after a year and tried to find cheaper insurance and the seach lead me to Progreesive. My car being turbo, every other insurance company I checked was either higher or close to what I was paying with Geico. I switched to Progressive 2 years ago. Guess how much I am paying now. $440!!!!!. Almost half of what I was paying with Geico. Then after being insured with them for 4 months, I got into a car accident and they were fast in processing claim. I am glad that I found them. Similar Products Used: Geico: a rip off |

Fast online quotes - it's easy to see what changes to your policy will do to your premium. Good rates. Customer service seems to be satisfactory.
Weakness:
Nothing, yet. I would recommend at least getting a quote from Progressive. They saved me considerable money in premiums. I've never had to make a claim, but my fiancee has Progressive insurance and had no troubles getting a comprehensive damage claim (rock in the radiator of a 2 week old Civic) taken care of. Similar Products Used: State Farm, Travellers, both considerably more expensive. |

The service was lousy,I total out my BMW in a rain storm when I hydro-plain leaving the 285 expressway going down the hilly terrain. They gave me blue book lowest value for that model. Weakness:
High premiums for little coverage When I turned 25, they gave me the same crappy rate ($1280/year) I had before that. Went to State Farm and they quoted me $680 for slightly better coverage ($1500 floater on the stereo). Needless to say, that's where I am now. Way too expensive!!!!!! 600 dollars a month to drive a new SUV. I wouldnt recomend them unless your over 25. If you are younger you can do way better. Similar Products Used: I use Deerbrooke Insurance(Allstate affiliate) now they have to be the best if your an 18 year old male with a couple of tickets. |

Prices, reps with no idea. On a 92 Ford Ranger I started out paying 92.00, and then after my first year of coverage with them they hicked it up to 127.00. My guess is because I have no accidents like the guy above had. It seemed the older (25) I got, along with getting married, my rates continued to move north. Similar Products Used: State Farm |

Value, fast claim processing

Customer service Before getting Progressive, I've gotten a couple of quotes from other companies. Progressive gave me the lowest quotes, even thought I was younger than 25. I made two comprehensive claims, once with hailing damage and once with at-fault accident. Both times, my claims were processed so fast.
