Very reasonable cost for a "Z" rated tire. Outstanding adhesion. Good in rain.Very quiet compared to the Yokahama A520's I replaced.
Weakness:
Like all "Z" rated tires, their treadlife isn't too great maybe 25-30k tops. Terrible in snow. Outstanding grip while still being reasonably quiet. The perfect "compromise tire. While the A520's may have a bit more grip their noise level is unbearable, actually louder than my aftermarket exhaust system. Similar Products Used: Yokahoma A520's Dunlop D40 M2's |

Great dry and wet grip!
Weakness:
loud when just driving along at speed I like it. The cost is great, and the tires seem to wear really well. I have over 12K hard miles on them (and a few autocrosses) and they still look almost new! They also stick really well on curves in both the dry and in the wet! The wet traction is incredible! Standing water doesn't seem to matter, they produce nice large waves as they clear the water from the tires. Similar Products Used: Dunlop D40M2 - old, hard tire, slid all over the place |

Strength:
Very quiet tire. Decent tread life. Excellent wet weather traction (the best wet weather tire ive owned). Pretty good grip on dry pavement too.
Weakness:
Nothing really stands out... Although not the fiercest handling tire you can buy, this is a pretty good all around tire. For those who want their cars to be comfortable and practical, but still exhibit good handling. Best features would have to be quietness and wet traction. Similar Products Used: Yokohama A520 -Much quieter than the Yokos, better tread life, much better in rain. A little bit more supple ride. But I cant push the Potenzas as far. |

without question the ride quality. Wet traction is fairly good, and dry traction is excellent.
Weakness:
Don't even think of using these in the winter. anything more than the slightest dusting will send the car sideways. Excellent tires with abundant grip and smooth ride. I replaced the stock 16's with aftermarket 18's and barely lost any ride quality despite the fact that it's a plus 2 application, while gaining noticable increases in performance and handling. I wouldn't hesitate in recomending these tires to anyone. Similar Products Used: original factory equipment--there's no comparison |

Excellent wet traction, unfazed by standing water. Solid and responsive in the dry, smooth and quiet.
Weakness:
None I have encountered! Excellent value, superior wet performance, dry holding on par with the rest of the high-performance group. Smooth and quiet on the highway, perfect for the everyday fast driver in a sport/tourer! Similar Products Used: None |

I put new 245/45/17's on my GT. So far, so good. They don't complain in the corners, and a few times when I pushed them hard they stayed on track. The RWD GT rear end can really swing around on you if you're not careful, and the Potenzas took the road back once or twice when this happened.
Weakness:
UGLY-ASSED. I'm sorry, but the tread design is ugly. It makes my American muscle,(not that one, I mean my car) look like it was dressed by Tojo the human bullet. The best I can say is the tread makes it look unique, but this is one area where I regret not repurchasing the Goodyear OEM's which look better. Not much improvement in terms of road noise to tell you the truth. But the ride is smooth, and inspires confidence on L.A. freeways, where you need it. I hope they last longer than the Goodyears which wore out at around 25k. Some say this is pretty good, but it seems to me if you're going to shell out $800 for a set of tires they ought to last more than a year and a half. Like I said they don't squeal in the corners which is good. Haven't tried them too much in the wet other than a few splashes through puddles. I don't anticipate any problems, though. All told, for the money it's not a bad buy. But you'd better look at that tread design one more time. Ugh. Similar Products Used: Goodyear Eagle GSC 245/45/17. I decided to give the Bridgestones a try after reading the reviews hear and at tirerack and noting that the tire had been redesigned. I thought the OEM Goodyear's wore out too fast and were too noisy. |

not as good dry grip as mxxx3 very pleased with the value of these tires. excellent overall but slightly less bite on dry pavement as compared to the michelin pilot mxx3 they replaced on my '98 m3. time will tell as to treadwear but suspect they'll go at least 30,000 miles, based on the 300 rating. i got half that with the michelins! Nothing... i havnt found anything wrong so far. These tires are incredible from the first time on the road to the first time on the track they have not failed to impress me. When wet they perform, when cold they perform... i have never driven on anything like them. Amazing tracting and grip even when driving hard and fast. Similar Products Used: goodyear GSR's were stock on the car... the Bridgestones are around 300times better. |
