Falken ZE-502 ZIEX Tires

Falken ZE-502 ZIEX Tires

DESCRIPTION

These ultra performance tires take driving to a whole new level. Extra wide, straight grooves, combined with twin traverse grooves provide excellent wet performance, water disbursement and help prevent hydroplaning. Twin straight rib design enhances handling, while A.P.P.L.E.-designed noise treatment helps filter out road noise. Rim protectors guard against friction on wheels, and a dual tread compound provides split-second response and grip.

You can forget about these tires! Bad, that''s the word! Dry road: Pretty good traction, pretty good on braking. Cornering? Forget about sprint when cornering! Light moisturized road (heavy fog): dangerous! No control on the car....no traction, no brake, no nothing ! They suck ! Wet road: Act just a little bit better than on the moisturized road. Be careful with the gas pedal before and when cornering. I had no guts to try them on snow! I''m affraid! So I switched''em with a pair of Maloya Winter. One more thing: they wear out uneven. The wheel angles were adjusted before fitting the wheels on the car. Useless!

Strength:

Good traction both in wet and dry conditions. Very dependable tire for the money

Weakness:

once they start to wear they are pretty much done for.

I think that these tires are a great all season tire. I have had them now for about 25,000 miles and I do need new ones but I am sticking with the Ziex tire. I race alot and on the dry road it sticks very well and on the wet also. I have not driven it in the snow so I don''t know how it handles there but for all of the weather that I encounter it is a great reliable tire.

Good grip in dry weather.

Weakness:

I''ve hydroplaned many times with these tires, wear out fast, do not do a burnout with these tires, they won''t last long at all!

These tires were great at first, but they do roll easily onto the sidewall, and can get noisy.

Best overall performance of any tire I have tried! Falken offers a 30 no questions asked return policy. "Try them and return them if you don''t like them, for any reason... even if your wife doesn''t like the way thay look!" That''s what the salesman at Vulcan Tire told me! (You won''t be returning these)

Weakness:

None

I have read the other reviews of this tire and can''t understand how there could be negative remarks about this tire. It is absolutely the best all-season high-performance tire I have owned. It seems that other people expected miracles from this tire. What this tire is a all-season tire so it will give you traction in all conditions as it has for me. However, it is not a snow tire, one should not expect it to give you the same traction in the snow as an actual snow tire, no all season tire will give you the best possible snow traction, this tire is just as capable in the snow as any other all season I have tried. The ze-502 is the best handling all-season I have tried as well. And is also very capable in the rain, I have never had any problems in the rain with this tire even at 70 MPH. If you want the best possible handling on dry roads, by a summer performance tire that doesn''t have any wet or snow traction. If you want the best winter traction by big old knobby snow tire. If you want a tire the handles like a performance tire on dry roads and sticks to wet roads and will get you from point a to point b safely in the snow then the ze-502 is for you!

Very good handling in DRY conditions. That''s it.

Weakness:

They''re LOUD, they have ridiculously soft sidewalls(try changing lanes on a turn), and they provide no reliable wet traction..NONE..period.

I got a pair thrown on in the front because my Michelin XGTV4 stockers were balding. The first day I had them on--I thought they were AMAZING!!--only b/c however they weren''t filled to norm. pressure and it was dry as a bone outside. Let me just tell you..I''ve had these on for about two months and I CRINGE when I see rain falling from the clouds. They are absolutely HORRIBLE in the wet!! They give absolutely NO warning when they''ll give out either - leave you wondering how much to push before they bark and send out into the guardrail. I have no ABS which makes these tires even more of a risky deal. I''m heading out to pick up a whole set of Dunlop SP Sport5000''s and hope they fair better year-round. AVOID Falken ZIEX''s at all costs!!--that''s unless you LIKE crashing you car into walls, rails, curbs, and other things :P

LOUD between 30-50 mph!

These tires have good grip in the wet and dry. I have tried several tires on different cars and these are the LOUDEST I have ever heard. Between 30-50 mph my Accord sound like I have mud tires. Which when I first got the tires they were loud but not too bad, but after 10k miles they are getting worst. After you get them up the highway speedv(70-80 mph) they are not very bad.

looks great, love the directional tred pattern. Good wet road handling. Has a thick protective lip for tim rim of the wheel, for curbs and etc.

Weakness:

Not so great dry road handling but good. Short tread life

When i first bought my 16x7 wheels they came with the BF Goodridge TA and they were great and lasted a long time. then i needed to replace them and a buddy told me to try the ZIEX. So i did but wasn't as impressed as i should have been. Iwould recommend them though because of the great looks and they have kind of a thick protective lip for the rim of the wheel.

Much better ride and overall grip than Toyo proxes 195/60/r14, i wanted fatter tires, and 50bucks is great i have 205/60/r14 falkens ride is much better...much, very good grip and they let you know when your at the limit, and even slide very predicatably. Also look great, fatter is better in some cases :)

Weakness:

wearing rather fast, turnin isn't as tight as the toyo but much smoother ,wearing rather fast, esspeically the rear..probly due too recent aftermarket sway bar install, and the obivous corning that insued.

Very good tires for the money, very good ride, good overall handleing, only 50bucks at NTB, thats a good thing cause they wear fast.

They look great on this car. They gripped the road well until about 20k.

Weakness:

Terrible in the rain. The dealer went through 9 tires to get 4 that would balance. Noisy.

Good bang for the buck if you live in a dry area and can get them balanced every 6mo. Too noisy for a convertable.
